Well, I found out I passed my red belt test. After that, we did some MMA, I got hit just hard enough to tick me off and the guy I was going against wasn't able to get much else in except a last minute desperation choke that forced me to tap out. So I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I might be testing for nikyu soon. If they do ask me to test I feel very confident that I will pass, the only material that may give me trouble is the sankyu ippon kumite.

First things first. Since i missed it yesterday, today I will have both a movie of the day and a song of the day.
First up, the movie of the day.
Today's movie is Batman starring Michael Keaton. I watched it earlier today and I really was disappointed. I used to like this movie for reasons I can no longer remember, however now it's just so pathetic compared to the new Batman movies that I just don't like it anymore. Plus, why hire a comedian with a weak chin to play the caped crusader? It just makes absolutely no sense.
Next is the song of the day.
Today's song is Highway to Hell by AC/DC. Now my AC/DC knowledge is a bit rusty but I believe that this song was written about AC/DC's first tour in the U.S. Either way it's a great song that takes a slight turn from AC/DC's ultimate goal for rock n' roll. Which is basically to turn sex into music.

I feel pretty good about it. I've got a good grasp on the katas including all the green belt katas and the kiyan and itosu lines and feel reasonably well about the ippon kumite with the exception of one of the throwing moves which I still need a little work on.
