My first time seeing this topic. I wish no offense to be taken by what I say in this post. I appreciate that much hard work and time was poured into revamping this map, and this is only my opinion(albeit completely too late making it pretty pointless, but..)

Comparing the map on page 3 with the flags on each country, etc and the finished product, it seems like this revamping went backwards. From good, unique and beautiful to bland, uninspired and not really much different from the original.

There's no point going into detail, broadly I just feel like this was a wasted opportunity. Of course I appreciate that everyone has different tastes.

By the way, why is oxfordshire shortened to 'Oxon'? where does the N come from?

Oxfordshire is abbreviated as Oxon, from the Latinised form Oxonia.

It wasn't simply a matter of not liking the flags... England is split up into three bonus regions, and it was difficult to differentiate between them while they were all represented using the same motif... Anyway, that debate was so 2007!

It wasn't till I played the old map that I realised how inaccurate the old map was. Being British I suppose I'm more aware of the subtle things that are wrong. For instance whilst playing the old version I realised that Hadrians Wall is running the wrong way. Northumberland is actually north of it. Some of the naming is still inaccurate. I love the Hebrides but what is marked on the map is the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides, The Hebrides themselves consist of most of the islands of the West coast of Scotland. No Shetland and Orkney will also bug me but they weren't on the original.

Still, the new map is a vast improvement and at least the county where I live gets a mention.

the british isles map has changed and my troops have changed with it
i attacked from the north of ireland into scotland and reinforced them back to the north
know there in leinster, the proof is there that there is a fault because it now says that i attacked from leinster and reinforced back to leinster which is not possible
