Barely had anything to do with them and they probably couldn't make that much money from it anyway. They'd be glad to have the promotion on the franchise. On the other hand, Risk and conquer club are in the same exact market and are competition and their ideas are important to win he money of the consumers who enjoy this sort of game.
unfortunately, there is a star wars version of risk (or two, or three) being sold in stores right now. The copyright would definitely be an issue since CC would be offering something online for free that is also being sold in stores. makes it harder to sell the official product if CC becomes well known. But it would be an interesting idea, does anyone know how you go about getting copyright permission?\
After the copyright issue, the next problem is continents. Where are the divisions for those in the star wars universe? The boundaries between the new republic / rebellion and empire shift all the time, so you'd have to pick a specific time period. Secondly there are too many planets that simply are not really a part of any larger set. Also, how would you limit the avenues of attack from planet to planet?
sounds like fun, lots of questions before you can really get going though.
