Two at a Time Tournament. Win 1-year subscription!
Organizer: danalan Winner: kratos644 Premium: 1-year sub
Open to all, will need 2 slots to play. Winner receives 1-year subscription! I need 36 players, and at least 6 reserves.
13 different maps, 6 players per map, all games played Sequential, Escalating Spoils, Unlimited Reinforcements, No Fog of War. To enable freemium players, and to not tie up people so badly, the tourney will be played in several stages with rounds of no more than 2 games.
I expect this tourney to take some time, as we will only play two games at a time. To keeps things moving, if any game seems to be stalemated, I reserve the right to declare that game invalid for the tourney, and replay that map with the surviving players. The players are free to continue with the 'stalemated' game, but it will no longer count for the tourney. I will negotiate any stalemate with the players involved, to allow them a chance to finish the game if possible.
This is my first tourney, so bear with me, thanks and have fun!

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

I'm not entirely sure how this tournament actually works. Is it that everyone plays 6 games, regardless of whether they win earlier in the tournament or not The winners then play every other winner of that map on a different map The winners of that then play on a final map.
Does that mean that there might not be a Stage 3?
‹max is gr8› so you're a tee-total healthy-eating sex-addict? ‹New_rules› Everyone has some bad habits (4th Jan 2010)

Sorry, Max -- I've edited the rules for clarity. Everybody will play the first 6 maps. 6 winners on each map will advance to Stage 2, where 6 different maps will be played by 6 groups of players. The winners from these maps advance to the final stage. It is possible, but unlikely, that 1 player could win all 6 Stage 2 games, thus negating Stage 3.
