When I run BOB, conquerstats, dice analyzer, or clickable maps in any combo that I've tried so far the map will stop auto-refreshing in speed games and I won't be able to click any of the buttons (Attack, Reinforce, etc.) on the page.

Running FF3 in Vista (if that makes a difference)

Next time it happens - can you goto "Tools -> Error Console" Click the "Errors" tab - and then post anything in there in here.

Here's a query - do you have "Auto Bob" set to Off?

I think I've come across an error in this area...

So - workaround until I fix it - is to run with Auto BOB to ON - or - not at all.

Yeah - I've found a bug in the off version of the code - I'll get it sorted sometime soon!

BOB stopped working spontaneously

Postby Gohozoq Pohobo on Wed Nov 26, 2008 1:16 pm

Has anyone else had their BOB simply stop working?
Attempts to reinstall firefox did nothing, and trying to reinstall BOB got me this
Script could not be installed [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIChannel.open]" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://greasemonkey/content/utils.js :: getContents :: line 244" data: no]
Any ideas?

No - but I have been having problems with BOB hosing out 1 of my processors recently...

Perhaps something to do with the latest upgrade of FF!?

Try reinstalling FF or GM? - It's what I'll try when I get a chance.

yeti, this is not exactly a bug, nor is it of any priority at all, but I just wanted to put it in here:
You gave the code for a quick-fix to make the stats table and the text map default to scrollable. I have noticed that when I take any action, the statistics table reverts to the fixed state, but the link still says "fixed statistics". Then when I click the "fixed statistics" link, it switches to saying "scrollable statistics", then I clicked it again and it switched to "fixed statistics" again and actually changed to a scrollable table. (Sorry if this is getting too complex for an easy fix.)

That's pretty odd - are you sure you put the code in the right place?

I doesn't do that for me - if you placed the code inside the "refreshGMScript" function - then that would make sense...

Also - the way the functions are written - if the stats table is too small - then it won't go scrollable.

I thought I put it exactly where you told me to. Also, even before that, if the stats table was set to scrollable, it would reset to fixed on any action.

Really?

Hmmm - that's a shade odd.

Hi.. i hope i dont doublepost a known bug, but 600 posts is quite a lot to look at..

So, imho the Last Bonus entry does not contain autodeployed units.. i think it should. Is this a bug or a feature?

Ajax Bob Problem

Postby wjw1741 on Mon Dec 01, 2008 2:08 pm

For the last few weeks, I have not been able to get the Bob portion of my games to work. When I click on a game it just continues to say loading but never actually loads. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong and what I can do to try and correct the problem.

I think it is a computer issue, as I can use the bob feature on my home computer, but not my laptop.

Thanks in advance for your help,

WJW

I must not be very greasemonkey or firefox capable, but when I look at greasemonkey for help there is only one script in there - Conquer Club - Bob is all it says. When I click on game all it does is say initializing bob, but it never actually stops.

Where can I find some step by step instructions to correct problem??

Check Greasemonkey for conflicting scripts (for instance older versions of BOB) and disable/uninstall them accordingly. Secondly, there's a sticky thread for BOB bugs right here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=46075&p=1719441#p1719441

Very odd - that games works fine for me - are you sure you don't have any extra scripts installed?

I only use firefox for conquerclub, and bob was the only one I put there. Is there any other way to check what I may or may not be running?

BTW - Thanks for your help in this, I hope I have it running soon, I am not used to playing without it.

Are there any errors? First thing to do before going into any games is clear the Error Console. In Firefox Press Alt-T for tools, and then C for Error Console (or just click Error Console), then click the X - Clear button. Now close the Error Console and then proceed into a game you are having problems with. If the game still does not initialize, check the Error Console again and see if there are errors in there and if there are, report them back so Yeti or others can see them and perhaps something obvious is occurring.
