if money were no issue for me i could imagine it going something like this: i join CC, join 4 games, notice its going really slow, so instead of just giving up i buy premium, since money is no issue and 20 bucks isnt much anyway. sadly i am just a poor student, but somehow managed to get hooked anyway.

I know what you mean about red New Recruits being suspicious. I played against one though, and asked him/her about it, and apparently was introduced by a friend. : \

Of course it's fine to be suspicious. Such people tend to have wads of cash to blow on a game that they might not even like and play again, or are multis.

It never crossed my mind until recently ( last 4 months or so). Seems like more and more veteran players are making new accounts because their win percentage isn't satisfactory or whatever the reason ( quite a few of them running around), I automatically assume the premium recruits are multis when I come across one in a speed game. More times than not they are- quite unfortunate for the actual new players to have to endure ridicule and suspicion.

I was a red recruit. My workmate showed me the site at 9am, I had maxed my freemium out by 11am and had premium at 6pm.

That was my case. 4 games where too few. And the price, 16 Euros, was not a big issue. That's less than a Saturday dinner at a restaurant, or half what I spend each week in petrol (yes, petrol is too expensive :-( ) so, even if the place resulted to be not as good as it seemed, it would not have been a big loss. Plus, I already knew Risk. So it was not 100% new.

So I was a red recruit. I suppose that means I was suspicious ;-) In fact, in one of my first games someone said "I am suspicious of red recruits" lol!
