What's the point?

Can someone please explain the point of "secrecy" or "stealth mode"? I know you're all gonna say that it's for freestylers, but even if you have it on, if someone hit's ctrl+f and types your name, in the forum tab, you'll still come up... So, what's the point?

My point is that "stealth mode" does absolutely nothing except make it a tiny bit harder for someone to find out if you're online.

To find out other people's opinions on this... . Also to find out if I missed anything about the "stealth mode". I'm not 100% sure of all of it's capabilities. I'm not making a pointless thread like Klobber or Owen, I'm just trying to find out #1 if I'm missing something or #2 what other people think on the issue.

No, I'm not trying to look smart, I'm simply pointing out that there is a way around it, and wondering if there is any other reason for the "stealth mode" . And no, I'm not trying to look smart, and I really didn't expect people to jump down my throat for such an un-antagonistic question.
