In which case you are in the wrong thread, but be that as it may, who is going to win the SB

Won't be the Jets, as much as I wish it would be.

But, it's way too early to tell. Follow enough football, and you'll see (as in last year's case with the Giants) David does indeed slay Goliath on occasion.

Occasionally I'll watch a random college ball game, there are some crazy plays going on, but I have to admit to preferring the NFL and the camaraderie that goes with rooting for my team. (College ball fandom seems more fragmented, and it's significantly more difficult to walk into a bar and find guys watching the College team you're rooting for, as opposed to the pro team)

I suppose that's a possibility. Around my area, there are five college teams that are popular, two of them in particular. So it's easy to find area fans. As a Michigan fan, I have a bit more trouble, but it's not uncommon for me to find the maize and blue hiding about somewhere. I never see a Lions fan... (at least, not sporting the logo).

that is because there are people who will swoop you up if you are so willing to show the instability required to wear a lions logo out in public. The appropriate expression is as follows.

edit, i was surfing the internet looking for an appropriate image of someone failing...found this instead and think its funny enough to link.

The wii fail is the one you are looking for. I think its the point where he continues to try and play the game at which the video becomes completely full of win as opposed to almost entirely full of win.

I like to see creative plays, like the last one the Eagles ran against the Cowboys, with like three laterals.

I think the only reason it didn't work was because it looked like 2 of those laterals got off late. It wasn't Brian Westbrook's fault, and he almost got that first down.

Plus, my posting this valuable information bumps our thread above the limeys' soccer thread, so like, awesome.

USA! USA!

Yes, trick plays are always fun. Like the one that Boise State pulled on Oklahoma.

Do you have a clip? In fact, if you know of a good resource for looking up video of specific plays I'd be most grateful. If we had the ability to post links to video of actual plays, we could go into even more in depth discussion about football, and help our thread about REAL football gain pages upon pages of worthwhile reading material, to better compete with the limeys' thread.

NFL Network seems to be committed to keeping obsolete video all to themselves. (Shouldn't it be considered obsolete after a live broadcast?)

This is a blow to the fans, and another reason to hate Jerry Jones, who either owns, or co-owns the NFL Network. I do not like him.

However, College ball might have easy to find clips.

you seem to have fallen into the same trap as some of the others, most notably, the inability to possess reading comprehension. While this is regrettable, i have high hopes as your countries school system is undoubtedly better off than ours.

However allow me to amend your error. You are looking for the Football (Real) thread, which has over 80 pages. This is the football real thread with under 10 pages. While i know you will likely get tripped up by the title in the future (as reading comprehension is occasionally an unremidable condition) i have high hopes you will be able to tell the difference between the numbers of the pages.

I wish you the best of luck.

I feel sorry for you if you do not know of the trick play that Boise State pulled to take the game into overtime and eventually win it by 1 point. I'll look for a clip but I'm just saying that you have missed out on a great football moment.

I was avoiding this thread because I figured it was that fake football that seems so popular in second rate nations. You know soccer. ;)

Here's the link:

Boise's trick plays

Note that this includes multiple videos of both the tying play and the game winning 2 point conversion in over time.

Looking back on these two plays really makes me realize that this was on of the greatest games of all time and quite possibly the greatest bowl game ever.

As much as I dislike LSU, this is one of my favorite trick plays.

Anyways, for the college football fans. Which team(s), if any, do you think will go undefeated this year? I really would like to see Georgia go undefeated but that's all but impossible so I would have to say that it will be USC.

I never try to predict these things because I'm always wrong. I hope no particular team makes it (like last year). It's more exciting that way. That said, USC is robust (as usual).

Well, Georgia, Mizzou and Florida remain undefeated and with sound wins for all of them I doubt there will be any shifts in the top 5 unless they decide that Florida should move ahead of Georgia.
