We can blame Mo for his version of terrorism.
We can blame Mo for confusing soldiers with martyrs, and civilians with military targets.
hmm, i think that is a fairly biased viewpoint. Religion is mostly a tool to make desperate men brave. Faced with the imperial, martial leviathon of the United States, small boys with stones took drastic measures and became grown men with kalashnikovs. We trained them to be killers against the Russians and then pulled the plug when they no longer suited our purpose.
A simplistic view also.. but we created their brand of terrorism to a far greater degree than Mo ever could have.
This is a serious question. I'm actually painfully ignorant about the history of terrorism in the UK, but from what little I do know is that it's the most common historic example of how to combat it.
And how often did the IRA intentionally target civilians?

As you see it's not Mo we can blame but islamist terrorists.
Have you read the Qu'ran?
Or just the wikipedia article on it?

Hm...I went with Twill, although I really had to stop and think about both Jesus and Mohammad. The thing is, even if we had nipped both of those ones at the bud, there would have been others to step up to the plate. There are some types of people who can't go through life without A. Falling for some lunatic cult and B. Spreading their faith rather than just letting it die with them

heh, well the IRA were tethered by their need not to upset their financiers in the USA (civilian targets were not good PR) and they were too cowardly to be suicide bombers.
The advent of the Muslim terrorist made it impossible for the IRA to survive, as much as the Irish peoples desire for peace.
Didn't they pull off some massive bank heist in the last few years? Took a bank president's family hostage, sent him to the bank to clean it out.
Real hollywood stuff.

heh, yeah a splinter, hard-line faction did it.. it was kind of a last hurrah. Not to diminish the core reason of their struggle in any way but they have been more a gangster organisation than a freedom fighters army, for many years.

Did anyone else hear a sort of
"WWWHOoooppsss!!!!" noise just then?
i don't think the universe can resolve this one! Einstein used the same principal to disprove the possibility of time-travel, so it is a pretty solid paradox.

With products purchased at Acme.

Actually, I think that they completely aware that killing-off a random crank from the Middle East would have the effect of drastically reducing the number of idiotic, dogma-spouting, cybermonks in the future.
Given that snuffing out Jesus would have no ramifications other than that... your point appears to be moot.

That was my line of thought, but unless we were to get rid of every single wackjob that came up with a religion killing off one or two doesn't matter.
Ramifications: 1. profit shares for illegal substance distributors would be 15% lower between 1985-1999 2. Lost Boys could have paved the way for Scott Baio and Kirk Cameron instead 3. Feldman's moderately hot wife would possibly still be available 4. upcoming Crank 2 movie would need to find a new extra instead of Haim
with that said, I think the world would be okay without them.
"Some men aren't looking for anything logical.
They can't be bought... Bullied... Reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn."

Sorry, I gotta side with Jay on this one.. BUT I certainly acknowledge this only applies to those of us who follow the path of Christianity.
