If no one is playing a map, then it should be removed. But members are choosing to play this map, and therefore members are enjoying the different gameplay it presents. If you don't like it, don't play it.

Bottom line: Be vocal and active in map creation. That's what the Foundry is all about. Everyone can express their opinions, and those who don't, shouldn't complain, because the option is there.
As was stated earlier, this map surely won't be for all, but I think it is an interesting step into a new direction. And perhaps in our future updates, we'll have something that will improve the gameplay of this map and other similar ones.
My two bananas.

I don't like the increadibly large number of men you get at the beginning, because it is variable, I think the bonus without continents is very important in the map, which is annoying. Still love the map overall, tis great.Hoff wrote:Jamie wrote:How could a map, that's been in use less than a week, be your favorite, and why?
I like the map because it is so big. You get alot of men each turn, which in turn causes you to think more about where to stick all these men. I like how there are sub-continents and a bonus for holding continents. I like how there are many territories so its like there are many side games going on at once in different parts of the world. There is more strategy because there is more to do and to think about. Its my favorite map because of these reasons and i'm in about 15 games at this map already and they are some of the most enjoyable games i've been in.
So maybe you don't like it because its too confusing for you...

Jamie wrote:t is appaernt that none of you get it. This map is a world map. We already have a world map. This site is less than a year old, and yet, look how much it has grown (if you were around when this site was first activated). It's ok to have different maps to play, but lets make sure it is different. What's next, another map of europe?? There are plenty of other maps we could use. There's no South America map, Antarctic Map, or Austrailian Map. There are over a thousand cities on the planet with a popultion of 1 million or more, why not a map of those, or mars, or the moon. If we are going to have alot of maps, let's have different ones, not variations of an existing map. I HATE crossword, but it's unique. I just don't play it. World 2.0 is not unique. We have a world map, that actually is playable with no bugs to work out. And to whoever is responsible for actually putting a finished map out to play. Play it a few times in a test room or something to make sure it has no bugs.

Kayla wrote:well i would have to agree with him that the map is pointless. You mentioned that two world maps were okay. Well i think the second one should of been the classic supremacy map. I loved that one. Maps should be unique, but not unique and stupid both. USA I would agree has too many maps, but the only one that is really good apocolypse. I do keep up with the map foundry and i believe i DID say i didn't like any of it, and said what i didn't like. The map is pointless and taking up room. We shouldnt just approve any map because its finished. It has to be a good map.
