Must have beat that game at least 7-8x, and playing the game around 50-60 hours each player through... that's like 350 hours of my life gone when lowballing it. So about 15 days straight of FF7.
Finally, someone who thinks like me...

I'll have to say that the street fighter games were the best back in the day it was the one game that people would put there quaters up and wait along time to get there challange in against who ever held the game. People got beat up for using chep tatics and there was always someone good out there to play.

Yeah, but arcades have vanished since people could play games at home for free!

Mario 3.. the first Zelda.. Mario 64.. Tetris.. man this is hard. There are too many games. I'm still going with Final Fantasy 6 (It was called 3 on the SNES the first time it came out in the US).

LttP is the best for the top-down games. The bosses are hard, though. Still haven't beaten the 1st Dark World boss.
If I can ever find a cartridge for SMRPG, I'll be happy.

$400 dollor consoule, $60 games, and however much a controler costs isn't exactly "free", lol..

Consider how many quarters you spend in an arcade...

I already checked. Tomorrow's release will be Megaman, Samuri Showdown 2 and Ys:Book 1&2. And a WiiWare title, most likely.

^^List of all confirmed games. SMRPG was confirmed for a while, but they retracted it.
MM9 comes out tomorrow! f*ck yeah! I've been so excited for this one. They're making it just like the old 8-bit games.
And how could have I forgotten to mention Mega Man as one of the best games ever? Me and my brother just recently played through all 8 games of the original series over the course of a few days. (That game was made for drugs by the way).

MM9 doesn't come out until next month. But I'm certain this is to hype it up.

It'll add up eventually.
Indeed. Don't forget how many quarters even a few hours of gaming costs. And considering the fact a console lets you play multiple games so that payment is easily negated by the amount of playing you do.
Playing through the arcade-stage in Tekken with every character multiple times would've been far more expensive if I did it in the arcade.

Wow talking about old games really brings forth memories i cant remmember how much hours i spent on DonkeyKong 64 with lanky, Diddie and those cranky apes:D
I didn't even own a 64, but my friend did so I was basically at his place everyday. He sure could play some mean Smash brothers, used to trick me with the stand-on-ledge prank quite a few times.
Man, I wonder how he's doing now. Haven't seen him in ages, though he did appear on tv some time ago.
f*ck, now I'm bringing back old memories for no reason.

use to play Donkey Kong on the Coleco Vision, along with Zaxxon,Cabbage Patch Kids, Popeye,Pits Stop and many more. that was in the early 80's and it cost 150quid and 30quid fo a game. now in the 80's that was a lot of money.
