Just ran gilligan+assassin and it ran fine for me, so there's no bug to fix, I'm afraid.

2 options:

There will be a faster rank calculation (as fast as the one without) but not for a while,
so perhaps you might consider upgrading to Firefox 3? The posts above give good reports on Map Rank on FF3.

I upgraded, and it worked.I just have one question though: What's the number in parentheses under 'Unique Defeats'?

That's the number of maps fulfilling the cross maps medal criterion (>=5 unique opponents defeated per map). So it is the exact number for the cross map medal. If that number in brackets is 20 then you've got a bronze cross map medal etc. (It save totting up all the >=5 numbers in the last column).

You can do that with one partner if you use the Game Finder (there's a Map Rank button at the bottom below the search button).
So you just enter 2 names there and press Map Rank at the bottom with whatever selections in the Game Finder.

I have put in a request for 2 more players to be added to the game finder already but until then, you can do a second name that way.

ok so i tried out the map rank with a partner, only problem is I think it takes in account the games you played against each other, so you will never know exactly the points u gained with this player as ur team mate will you?

There was a thread in Suggs & Bugs where the suggestion was made to not only add more text menus to the "Game Finder" page, but to add a dropdown like option with the choices: on team, against, not including, etc. But, as of now, you are correct.

That is right although I could so do something in the interim (not very efficient but still) if people are interested in team points.
I can add some sort of option so it searches games with both of you and then discards the games where you are not on the same team.
Or I could even put this in as default if you add a second player in the box.

First off, Map Rank is great, great stuff.

Second, feature request, of course. I was wondering if you could include some of the functionality of the Saved Search script. Some users (me) have varied searches and are too lazy to re-enter things ad nauseum. I realize that I could do this with the Saved Search script already by hitting "load" instead of "run", but I don't like the idea/practice of having my game searches mixing with my Map Rank searches. Perhaps any saved searches for Map Rank could display below the Map Rank button.

Keep up the good work and thanks for the product.

Hmmm - you could combine the 2 scripts... the Saved Searches script needs someone to look after it - as the author is no longer active here... so site changes might break it.

Good idea, PepperJack.

Yeti, you raise an interesting point - are there many untended scripts at the moment out of interest?

Yeah, if we get game finder redesigns, it is possible saved searches might break, I'll take a quick look at the script, same sort of functionality?

Saved Searchs is the main one I think...

I'm sure that there must be a few others though?

Did you want one combined list or 2?

I could either have a separate list for Map Rank or just have one list for all.(Easier to do one).

My personal preference would be for 2 separate lists, but that just might be me. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like food to touch other food on a plate.

If you do separate them you could maybe do 2 columns or have the map rank button separate the lists. You would probably need to have a "game bookmark" and a "map rank bookmark" button if they were separate. Theres also the possibility of having game and map rank searches be different colors regardless of if they are in 1 list or 2.

Whichever you choose, I'll be pleased. You're doing an excellent job and I applaud you further for pretty much taking over Saved Search with this.

Done. Works same way as saved searches in a separate list and button.
First thing that springs to mind is bookmarking medals map ranks so you can run medals map ranks quicker now.

I love this addon, but it seems to miscalculate my point total by a fair whack, telling me that I have 1777 poinbts when I have 2024.

At a wild guess I'd say it might be missing terminator kills if I didn't win those games.

Yep, this will only add up finished games so active terminator games kills won't show up until finished.

In that case, there are 2 possibilities:

1. Missing logs in March - points can't be retrieved on these.
2. The logs have not been restored since the recent server problems.

2 may be resolved, 1 won't.

So it's possible you will have a permanent offset for 1. (This will be constant)

So we could figure out what each of our offsets will be, based on current score vs. predicted? Example, all my games
Colonel 193pts for Brigadier +1807 Won 603 from 1355(45%)
So it's giving me 85 more points than I have.

Funny thing though, my games should be more like "2304 Completed, 1068 (46%) Won". Were the really that many game logs lost, or is this some other issue?

I've also noticed something funny near the beginning of large searches. I'll get a partial table that doesn't add up properly in the games column.

Code: Select all

Totals     Private 1st Class 38pts for Corporal  +62   Won 9 from 20(45%)   Won 2 from 5   24 (0)
Arms Race! New Recruit       38pts for Corporal  +62   Won 1 from 1(100%)   Won 1 from 1   3

Is this meant to happen (ie. it scans the games for wins first, then adds up the points)? I haven't noticed it on smaller searches covering just a few maps, but I've never gone through the completed table to see if it adds up.

I found something else a little odd: I don't get results searching for "NCAA March Madness 2008 #1". I've completed 8 games, and none show up. It works for other tournaments, but I haven't looked through all of them. Maybe something to do with the "#"?
