What if you make the two extra countreis the connecting lines for the lanthanide and actinide series?
Also, i like how some other periodic tables have the lines, looks kinda liek this

(main point is that theyve got right angles, not a diagonal line) You could definately make each line a territory, flows better with the map.
As someone who enjoys chemistry, PLZ dont' diregard the laddre for your boundaries. Maybe put a bridge in for aluminum and polinium, the only metal that touches the bridge. plus i really think metalloids should be two small territories, not clumped with the metals and nonmetals.
I also think that halogens should be a separate territory, with some boundaries added in.
edit: made a rough sketch so you'd see what it looks like (btw, F, O, N, and Cl continent is of the 4 most electronegative, its either that or group together the diatoms (Br, I, N, Cl, H, O, F)
