I think there's a ferry route between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. It's used to connect the Trans-Canada Highway of the two provinces.

Wasn't the title supposed to be "Golfe du St-Laurent"?

Why haven't you changed it in this update?

I am not sure about the legibility of the armies in some army circles. Like Estrie or Cape Breton.

Apart from that it's looking great.

Ok just pointing it out mate. I love French! ;)

About the army circles...half of them are on land and half on sea for example. Would the armies still be legible?
For example take Estrie...wouldn't it be better to shift the circle on the territory and the text outside if need be? Same for Cape Breton.

I guess we'll know when you test the XML with armies.

Mine was just a thought. :)

Does this mean you don't continuously save your work every few minutes??? Bad practice my friend! I guess you learn that the hard way!

I guess it depends on the different colours though. You can't judge using only one colour. I guess we'll know later on if there are problems.

i quite like this map. the graphics are great.
one thing i noticed is that the bonuses are all 2 and 3 except for sud de Quebec which is 6. i think maybe it should be 5? it has 8 terits with 5 defending... just a thought.
i like how there are a lot of small bonuses though because then you don't have to work too hard to get a bonus. its a great map. look forward to playing it

u're at least the fourth person to mention the cape breton to newfoundland sea route!

there are also many suggestions, errors and niggles from earlier in this thread that have yet to be acknowledged.

iancanton wrote:some previously-mentioned points are still unaddressed.
iancanton wrote:working from lone.prophet's page 21 update, here's another draft to consider. there are lots of little changes, plus one big change.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3207/246 ... 25.jpg?v=0

unit_2, the big change that i propose is merging port cartier with manicouagan and renaming duplessis territory as côte-nord. when combined with anticosti, the two turquoise territories on the north shore of the gulf will now have the same distinctive shape as the côte-nord administrative region, which has a long straight western border. the name change from duplessis to côte-nord is so that we don't have a territory and a continent with exactly the same name. are u happy with this?

http://www.quebecweb.com/tourisme-heber ... rteang.htm

magdelen island is now îles de la madeleine. lone.prophet, can u see if it fits the map? if not, then we'll have to change it to magdalen islands (islands, not island). it's not magdalen island because none of the islands has this name.

http://www.tourismeilesdelamadeleine.co ... es_ang.cfm

the islands are part of the same administrative region as gaspésie, so i've moved them from nova scotia to duplessis continent and drawn a sea route to gaspésie.

http://www.mdeie.gouv.qc.ca/index.php?id=3920

i've removed the sea route to anticosti, which is now not a border territory. the effect is to make the gulf of st lawrence more difficult to cross.

Unit_2 wrote:Also Lone, just change Grand Falls to GF-Windsor.
grand falls is now gf-windsor.

valeria wrote:Eliminate border from Magdelan Islands to Cape Breton. Also eliminate border from Madelan Island to Newfoundland. Add a border from Cape Breton to Newfoundland. Newfoundland should be hard to get to but easy to hold, like in real life.
the gf-windsor sea route now goes to cape breton instead of îles de la madeleine.

lone.prophet, i mentioned previously that the sea routes look a bit untidy. can u try using smaller dots that are closer together?

baie-james now borders mauricie.

iancanton wrote:saint laurent is now bas st-laurent.

http://www.bas-saint-laurent.org/English/p_contact.asp

the nova scotia continent is now nova scotia & PEI, to acknowledge that PEI is a separate province without changing the gameplay.

it might be better to do the xml after (not before) most of the above points have been resolved.
