Nothing has ever been to the moon EVER, because there's no pictures of the landing sites. That's all the proof we need, now excuse me while I go bury my head in this finely granulated rock.

All together now: The moon was an inside job!

O.o...

Excuse me, but hasn't the moon landing been analyzed by scientists everywhere? I doubt NASA still considers the technology top-secret. Things like fuel, coordanites, timing, build, etc. have been looked at by both NASA scientists and outside sources, and it has never been called implausible. So, if it was perfectly possible to go to the moon, why wouldn't they? The stuff they learned from the trip was so valuable... To go through the trouble of faking it, risking international ridicule if they were caught, when they had the technology to actually do it... seems ridiculous. Sure, it means they win the "space-race"... but the space race had more of a point than just nationalism... these are scientists as well as politicians.

I've yet to see any documentation for the hoax. Where was it filmed? When? Evidence please? Keep attempting to punch holes in the current story, but while you're at it, try to find some evidence for your alternative.

Yeah. I can't bring myself to believe that the moon landing was faked. They had a hell of a time proving it in court, but I can't believe it was faked.

Um, enlighten me here: are you saying nothing was left behind, because you believe in the moon landings, but didn't understand stuff was left behind (as some have been saying)

Or are you saying they left nothing behind because they didn't go?

It's not important, I just wanted to know on what grounds to dismiss your opinion as profoundly ignorant...

You talkin' to me?
From what I gathered, cmckinney wanted proof of the fact that: NASA SAID THEY LEFT JUNK ON THE MOON. The proof of THAT exists.

So I just went back and read cmckinney post. So I'm ignorant. Sarcasm would've been easier to detect had I not skimmed through his post till the last sentence

And yet people can still point lasers at tranquility base and get a laser beam back from the reflectors placed there by the Apollo astronauts. Ironic isn't it.

if all you want are pictures you will get them ... you posted the link to this article .... but i feel you missed this part ...

Not even Hubble can do it. The Moon is 384,400 km away. At that distance, the smallest things Hubble can distinguish are about 60 meters wide. The biggest piece of left-behind Apollo equipment is only 9 meters across and thus smaller than a single pixel in a Hubble image.

Better pictures are coming. In 2008 NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter will carry a powerful modern camera into low orbit over the Moon's surface. Its primary mission is not to photograph old Apollo landing sites, but it will photograph them, many times, providing the first recognizable images of Apollo relics since 1972.

The spacecraft's high-resolution camera, called "LROC," short for Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera, has a resolution of about half a meter. That means that a half-meter square on the Moon's surface would fill a single pixel in its digital images.

Apollo moon buggies are about 2 meters wide and 3 meters long. So in the LROC images, those abandoned vehicles will fill about 4 by 6 pixels.

question is.... will you believe these pictures to be a hoax too?

Hopefully when we find all the relics we won't also find that square pit with the little black pixel in the middle.

I have to say that the suppositions in this thread definitely strain my usual tolerance for lack of logic. Sarcasm is sometimes the only response one CAN make...

My brain hurts. Please don't use sarcasm or irony on this thread, as it's hard to distinguish from the lunacy that is meant seriously.
And I mean that...

Now that we have established that man HAS walked on the moon....

I was doing a little reading, and has anyone heard of this UFO on the moon stuff? It's everywhere!

Aldrin, Cooper, and Mitchell have all stated publically that they saw UFO's on the moon!!!? Seriously, Google it.

I think that Iv'e lost my sense of reality.....

Yes, that would be my evaluation of you... though you retain your sense, you have lost your sense of reality.

A UK "news"paper, equivalent to some of the crazier h=journals in the US, once found evidence for aliens in the fact the London Bus which they claimed had been photographed on the moon's surface had disappeared...

Here's my hangup though,

We all agree that these men aren't lying when they say that they've been to the moon? Right?

So then how do we just outright dismiss their claim that there were aliens on the moon? Even if it is the craziest thing that you ever heard? And I do think that it is the craziest thing that I ever heard. I feel stupid even bringing it up.

But we all seem to agree.......

I will look at this further when I have a chance to google with the sound on (don't want to wake people), but the first thing I found was about the "objects" which appeared to be following various missions, So far as I understood it, these had long ago been proclaimed to be waste (mainly pee) ejected from the spacecraft, sharing the same trajectory, and apparently moving in relation to the modules due to (a) small adjustments of trajectories by side thrusters and (b) the microgravity of the module itself.

Anyone able to add to this?

I do remember an episode of "Frasier" in which either John Glenn (or was it Neil Armstrong) talked at length about aliens, then said "but you won't broadcast this, right?" .

No no no, there is a tv interview in which Mr. Aldrin talks about seeing a UFO on the SURFACE of the moon. While he was out running around. And he talks about how NASA warned him that there were aliens there already, and that the aliens didn't want us to go to the moon in the first place. All three of them see the UFO parked there, in a crater. And when they called NASA for help, NASA told them to shut up. It's completely nuts.

I think Dancing Mustard is gonna be pissed......

I can't watch, these(dail-up) but i think that they are what I am talking about. Also, as I am reading the transcripts of Mr. Aldrin's interviews, It seems that Cooper and Mitchell both say that they have seen a UFO in space, not necessarily Buzz's UFO.
