Yes, that's something that I will put on my to-do list. I just haven't had time to work on the next update. I am taking notes of what people are saying and evaluating what to do next.

Final point. Cyprus is changing as we speak. The "no mans land" that has been present since the 1970s due to the Turks invading may be changed this year. It is under debate to let the Greeks back in to their homes and live there once again. But I guess you could make a new map then. It will be a joyous time.
I think you haven't understood how the bonuses work. The start bonus and the Greek/Turkish bonus are two separate things. If you understand that it will make sense.
About Cyprus changing...I seriously doubt that, especially for the foreseeable future. The Northern part of Cyprus (the Turkish part) is not recognised by any country except for Turkey. It is not even part of the EU like the southern part! But anyway that's a political issue not a map issue.

Thanks for your comments luckywar.
Wait, are you saying the stars are worth 2 different bonuses? ie out of the 5 stars there are bonuses, Hold3,4,or 5 for bonus....PLUS if you hold Paphos (star), Limassol (star), and Larnaca (star) you get another 2? Which would mean if you had those 3 places you'd get +1 for "holding 3 stars", plus another 2 bonus for "additional Greek bonus"? If that interpretation is correct....then it is odd.
As for changing. Trust me it is up for change. I have family in that part of Cyprus that were thrown out of their homes upon the invasion and now they have hope to return. (It might not change...but they are debating it, up to the President to allow them to return to their homes)

Title: Top Terminator (Won LB’s Terminator Tourney)
Sorry but the poll is closed now, I forgot to remove the "vote in new poll message" in the title.
If you have any further comments or suggestions to make about the map please leave a post. I am focusing a bit on the other 2 maps for the time being while gathering feedback on this one.
I love the map for the way it is. But like i have already said i would love to see the gameplay be more cold (ie bErlin style)....
To answer your question i lived in Limassol in 1982-1984 and my sister was actually born there. We moved there from another military mediterran island called Malta. You heard of it lol. My father was in the RAF, so i'll travelled abit.
Cyprus is a beautiful place, more so than Malta. The people are very friendly and nice and I have fond memories of having a street party there once and a big boar was roasting on a BBQ and the whole street was tucking in!

No response to this rather useful remark as of yet. I find geography and politics (on this map) more important than colour scheme, but apparently I am an exception.

The names I used are the British version. In fact although derivative from the Greek version of the name they are not written exactly the same.

Just use the latin names

1) i dont get what the 'Buffer zone' is, it looks like its that weird looking thing (that doesnt look so good) the ilooks like an impassable 2) Heres an idea, instead of army circles for the MBs, RCs, and SC, increase their symbols and use the symbols as army circles, cause i know it would work for at least the MBs 3) Plz change the legend to say 'Hold all = +1' for the MBs
at first glance: region names? And in the legend you mention extra bonuses for holding ___ region and ___ region... maybe it's just because I'm a Foundry geek, but when I read region I think continent/bonus region. CC lingo is territory, but you may be just as well off writing nothing at all.
Version 1.8 - Updated mini map and bonus legend, moved Nicosia army circle on top of UN buffer zone [bigimg]http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll127/Ruben_Cassar/Cyprus18.jpg[/bigimg]
Ok here's a small update guys. I made the mini map and wording in the bonus legend clearer and added the region names.
I also placed the Nicosia army clear on top of the UN buffer zone to show that the territory overlaps on both sides of the UN buffer zone. Is it clearer now or still not good enough?

I'll give it a closer look in the coming days.
Helo oaktown.
I have added the region names to the mini map in the last update.
About the legend...those are actually regions not territories. As you might note from the last update the regions and some territories share the same name. Maybe this could be misleading so for the XML perhaps we should add Nicosia Region to the text in order to distinguish it from the territory which shares the same name.

AH it's only now that I understand your special bonus and I lokked at your map about 10 times. You really have to find a way to be more clear about that. I think having a territory and a region sharing the same name is big problem, specially if you are combining different bonus type Regions group and special territorries. Name regions like turkish north/east, center, greek south, east, west. About the Nicosia problem, I would say it's a quick and cheap way to solve it (don't take offense). You can do much better. And last it's not clear if one have to hold Akrotiri britsh base to get the Limassol region bonus, same for Larnaca region with Dhekelia britsh base. And if not you would have a non continuity problem for the last one. Hope it helps, go on, I still like it very much!
