Im pretty sure charles widmore (penny's father) would have been some sort of survivor of this, and in one of the series four episodes the helicopter people are playing cards with the dharma sign on them. Why else would they want to kill Ben so badly? How else would they have known so much about the temple? Anyway lets stop talking about the show and more abouut this game.

However, I do have one thing to say that has no bearing on the game... If Widmore was part of Dharma, then why was he 'searching' for the island? WOuldn't he have known where it was?

actually, I'm beginning to think pmchugh is right. Even if you've been to the island, it's practically impossible to find it, because of the weird inter-dimensional unexplainable time-warp things going on around it. And I don't think the people on the boat know anything about the Dharma initiative, even though it does seem Charles was part of it. So it seems the boat people were hired by Charles, ex-part of the now nonexistent Dharma initiative, as revenge on Ben. And whats-her-name was somehow informed by someone else to rescue Desmond in the process.

as for the boat people didn't the de-activate that poison station so Ben couldn't use it? I don't believe them to be scum. It seems pretty clear from the scenes that its pretty much a everyone vs. Others affair.

So i can see where gimpy was coming from when he made that "joke". Though I'm not sure as to whether he is actually in favor for bandwagoning a random noob (a very scummy thing in my opinion) or if he was kidding about how random day 1's are.

actually this is good for us because info is good for town. Scum would not claim those names they would check wiki and choose a pro-town character
yeah but this info can just as easily be brought up AFTER a claim, sometimes the town gets lucky and scum claims a scum name with a different role, it's useful trap if a faction is uninformed.
