Ive wathced lost a lot, so any questions just ask me. Does this take into account season 4?

Summary of lost:

Main characters
Jack (doctor) runs about saving people, main guy.

Kate (convict) helps jack and seems to be a decent person despite murdering her step-father.

Hurley (fat millioare) cant seem to lose wieght and is crazy, he was in mental home and has an imaginery freind

Sawyer (bad ass) generally pisses people off, is an ex-convict makes the most of the crash hoarding goods. He also kills the guy who killed his parents i.e. Locke's dad

John Locke (paralysed) Locke has a kidney transplant with his long lost dad who turns out to be a conman, locke's dad pushes him out a window and he is paralysed. When locke comes to the island it seems apparent he is 'special' as the island removes his paralasis. His dad mysteriously appears on the island in the hands of the others, sawyer kills him.

jacob- invisible man who gives ben orders

ben- leader of the others, believes he is doing the right thing in series 4 people that arrive at the island in the helicopter try to kill him)

goodwin- other killed by cop.

ethan- other killed by rockstar lol

claire- pregnant women kidnapped by others season 1 she survives

Basic plot- series 1:
40 odd people survive the crash
jack, kate and sayid (iraqi torturer) become central figures in the camp, sawyer fights sayid.
they find a signal from a french women rousso who has been on the island for 16 years, she tortures sayid as she thinks he is an other.
They find the hatch.
Ethan kidnaps claire. Charlie(in love with claire) kills ethan when claire is released.
Walt (michaels son) gets kidnapped when sawyer, jin and michael try to escape on a raft.
Smokey monster goes about killing folk.

i strongly suspect rousso or whatever the french women to be third party.

I watched all three seasons and the first 7-8 episodes of season 4 up to now. If I'm not wrong the helicopter landed at the beginning of season 4. The aim of the heli-group was not clear in fourth season. For whom they work was also not clear, but they were definitely looking for Ben, their ultimate enemy. If they will help survivors is also not clear.

That means, in addition to townies (survivors) and scum (the others) we may have a third heli-group as well. They may be neutral or another scum party in the set up of AD.

I'm kind of sad, because I gave a great backstory in my sign-up thread... I'll post it here and on Page 1 of this thread just to be clear...

"It has been approximately four months since Oceanic Flight 815 disappeared on its flight between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California. While the wreckage has been found by searchers, along with the bodies of every crewmen and passenger, the survivors on the island have no idea where they are or why they managed to survive.

For some, like John Locke, this place is a Utopia, giving him back his ability to walk which was lost after he was pushed out of a fourth story window by the man who claimed to be his father.

For others, like Kate Austen, it is a refuge from the life she left behind. After killing her abusive stepfather, Austen has been on the run, evading police and law enforcement agencies across the globe.

And finally, for so many others, it is a prison. These people want to return to their homes and lives, but the island refuses all attempts to escape.

Five days ago, hope was finally rekindled as a boat- which was searching for the island, though not the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815- finally discovered the mysterious territory. Four members from the boat flew a helicopter to the island to begin their own investigation and accomplish their mission, regardless of the fate of those stranded here... and regardless of the presence of the Others.

In the last three nights, everything has shifted on the island. A horrific tropical storm blew up out of nowhere, wrecking the helicopter and stranding the four members of the boat that are currently on the island.

The Others' small community has almost completely leveled, and with it, the escape of all prisoners. A terrifying sound came through two nights ago, and it sounded as if the earth were tearing in two. This morning dawned with sun in the sky for the first time in 72 hours.

Ben Linus is kind of the big leader. Tom is also a biggy, but he's dead now. Richard Alpert, Ethan, Goodwin are some others. but i'm interested in whether or not Jacob will be included in this game. If he is in it, this game will be really interesting.

i think they are more likely to be scum, or possible a third party with the sole objective of killing Ben (and others possibly) In the show widmore doesnt seem like a nice guy anyway.

he doesn't seem the friendliest of sorts...and i think that the freighter people might just have the objective to kill everybody on the island, since according to Ben and sort of confirmed by Miles, once they have Ben, they were supposed to kill everybody on the island. So they might be a sort of serial killer group.

Big Fos on Cena for going with gimpy's idea right after it's been made clear that it's NOT a very pro-town plan. But since there's already more votes on gimpy, vote gimpy.

I'm pretty sure there could be up to six factions, based on the show (which I've watched all the way through):

Jack's survivors (want to leave)
The 'Others' (the natives who want to protect the island)
Ben (protect the island, but by season 4, he's no longer leading the others)
Locke's survivors (want to stay)
The 'boat people,' (kill everything on the island)
Dharma Initiative? (they might be a faction, but they were all killed before season 1 started by ben (who was part of the dharma initiative) when he joined the others.)

And then even other people playing the parts of some of the weird phenomena of the island. I think there's probably only thee or four of these, but it probably wouldn't be just six.

The fact that LoVo insists that there can only be two groups implies that either he's never watched the show, or he's in one of the other groups.

They can't be, the dharma initiative was a research program that was completely wiped out by Ben. The boat people were hired by Penny's father. I don't know why he wants to kill everything, but apparently at least one of them knew about Desmond (Penny's boyfriend).
