It's not Becks, it's the fool who runs the club.rhoges6 wrote:Another disappointing game for Shrewsbury (lost 1-0 to Bury). I think they will be safe from the drop after all but its still a les than spectacular showing after making it to the playoff final last year.
On the other hand, MlS season kicked off yesterday and New England had a strong 3-0 win over houston. And the great David Beckham led his Los Angeles squad to a season opening 4-0 loss to Colorado, making LA officially terrible since he joined.

True, Becks and Landon are basically trying to do it all by themselves. Still, if you think about it, the whole Beckham signing has kind of backfired on the Galaxy and MLS. He's had somewhat of a negative impact on the league because he barely played last year and people who don't really follow soccer (95% of america) expect him to score every game. So he hasn't lived up to the unrealistic expectations which is unfair to him but ultimately not good for the league. On that note, I read that the new Seattle team is trying to get Thierry Henry to sign with them. I would have to say there is a less than 3% chance he will, and anyone may quote me later and embarass me if he does sign.RedBullNation wrote:It's not Becks, it's the fool who runs the club.rhoges6 wrote:Another disappointing game for Shrewsbury (lost 1-0 to Bury). You have Becks and Donovan, then you put no one around them and you get a team that misses the playoffs once again.
Red Bull opens their season next week against the Crew. I'll be there.
Really now? I say less than 1% chance for that. They don't even have a name yet. But if they do sign him, it will work since, like you said, they expect a goal scorer.rhoges6 wrote:True, Becks and Landon are basically trying to do it all by themselves. not a great place to put them considering you guys should be up something like 3-1 and instead are in rough shape heading to anfield.brooksieb wrote:We as in arsenal are gunner have to put all our eggs in the champions league basket now.
well we can get a 2nd place finish in the league which i hope is what we're gonna get, if we have enough confidence and play the game we can blow past liverpool so hopefully loosing the chance to get 1st place in the league will make us more fired up to win the champions leaguegot tonkaed wrote:not a great place to put them considering you guys should be up something like 3-1 and instead are in rough shape heading to anfield.brooksieb wrote:We as in arsenal are gunner have to put all our eggs in the champions league basket now.
