Day one
All whose names are written in the Death Note will die.
Lately there have been an extreme increase in the deaths of violent criminals, starting in japan, though quickly spreading to notorious criminals around the globe , notably almost all die of heart attack, though some didn't seem to be themselves and made out very suspicious suicide notes.
The global reaction is split, criminals fear for their lives and governments are enraged at the ignoring of laws, but much of the public and news media promote Kira as a hero, even some police and politicians secretly support Kira.
Some of the worlds most famed detective and law agencies are put on the case, knowing they too may be killed, But no one will stop until what they believe to be "justice" becomes the only choice left.
start your investigations, and send me any Day actions you may want to use.

Well, someone needs to get this started so I'll stick with my pre-game vote.

Have many people here watched the whole Death Note series? If you don't hate anime and you haven't seen it, go download it somewhere. It's awesome, I promise! :D

Don't go random bandwagoning please. You're going to make me vote you (baggins/william/suggs/future bandwagoners) if you keep this up.

For those of you who haven't heard my opinion on this before, here is how I think a day 1 should look:
Day 1 starts with joking and random voting. Then some discussion about how some of those random votes appear suspicious. Then some discussion about that discussion. By then some people are most likely giving out scumtells and the random voting turns to voting with (good) reason.

But what I see happening in other games and fear will happen here too is:
Day 1 starts with joking and random voting. However, all 'random' votes are directed at the same person somehow. That person will then claim way too early because he's afraid the bandwagon will keep going at the same pace.

You pick which one is best.

Oh God, not another "experienced" player who insists all mafia games go according to the ones he has played in the past :)
Bollocks to that, we have to learn for ourselves, so LETS KILL STRIKEWOLF! :D
