NASCAR Heads North Of Border

MONTREAL -- NASCAR is heading north of the border with a Busch series race set to take place next summer in Montreal.

The Aug. 4 race, being held on the same track where the Formula One cars run, is replacing a Busch race in Martinsville, Va.

NASCAR chief executive Brian France has been working on adding the race for two years and now gives NASCAR a race in Canada as well as Mexico.

As if the Euro-Trash wasn't bad enough! Now we have to deal with American hicks... there goes the neighbourhood

(Just kidding, I love all tourists. Visit Tourisme MontƩal for more information about our lovely city. Tell them lackattack sent you and I'll get a free poutine.)

why would rednecks go to a race in French Canada? French are their enemies. but, there was going to be a Nascar track where i live and i wanted it because it brings in tourists. Also, i'd learn to like the sport if i got to go to a race.

Fries, gravy and cheese curds. They sell it everywhere in Quebec even at McDonalds! I used to think poutine is gross but now it's grown on me.

What ever happened to the famous French cuisine?

did the french leave cananda before they passed on some decent recipies?

I know I shouldn't pass judgement on a dish that I've never tasted - but it sounds like a plate of food designed to make a Japanese nutter on 'Endurance' throw up.

The French french and the Quebecquois haven't really been on great terms because the French gave up Quebec to the Brits in exchange for keeping their sugar plantations in the East Indies. Just a little resentment that lasted about 200 years. Then a brief time of close ties after WWII when Charles de Gualle was in power in France. De Gualle was openly in favor of Quebec seperation from Canada. Really pissed off Ottawa. Really funny to read abuot now.

So that's the short story on why the rednecks shouldn't hate the Montreal French and they don't have any great recipies. And for the record French Quisine sucks. If you ever go there you'll understand.

You're misquoting Leonidas there, capn. It's not him that says it, but Dienekes. And it's not as you write it, which implies resignation, but "So much the better, we shall fight in the shade." Although, in the trailer for the movie 300, they have it as, "Then, we shall fight in the shade." As in, the Persian arrows block out the sun, so we shall be spared its heat. The quote is historically used to show the high moral of the Greek army on the first day of the battle.

That's a kickass trailer, ain't it?

I am drunk.

It's the same sort of stuff that collects around your helmet after shagging a bird with a dirty minge and not washing your knob for a couple of days afterwards...

Enjoy those Poutine KB

I had thought for sure that it was Leondas who has said it. And now that you point it out I see that it would be read as resignation. That is not how I meant it to sound. It has been so long since I wrote this. I thought I took the quote directly. I'll have to go check now.

eh i live like an hour away from quebec's border (french canada)...and i don't care for them at all...they can go on their own if they want...and if they do...they will die cause they got no economy to keep themselves living.....and also give it 5 years or less and canada would just conquer them and make quebec english like it should be

Smegma:

Foul-smelling, cheese-like substance found on the foreskin of the clitoris.

*Throws away the freshly made Denver omelette that I just made...*

Didn't really want that anyway, Koolbak! Thanks!

Do I want to know what a clitoris is? I bet it's a fancy word for something I know.
