I see the picture: A map with one way attacks from zone to zone from left to right (linking both horizontal edges) with 24 continents (one for each time zone).
It will be great.

I got an idea for a map, but I don't think/know I have the capabilities to make it. How about a map based on the map E1M1 of the orginal Doom. Here's a link to a high resolution picture of the map: http://ian-albert.com/misc/gamemaps/doom/full/E1M1.jpg

ok.... i looked through a few pages of this thread and I couldn't find anything interesting enough, so ill ask here.

I am looking for a SMALL map to make.
A simple map, no gimmicks, preferably would only need a small image (i dont have a ton of free time to make a huge map). Preferably geography/real world based map.

Any ideas?

1. You have to have a large and small map
2. To few territs and everybody will reject it
3. Simple usually means horrid graphix
4. Horrid graphix = Rejected

note: hope this does not come across as flame, im trying to state facts

1. by small, i mean not 600x600 for small and 800x800 for large. i was looking for something a bit under the size limit.

2. I never said very few territories. I just want one with maybe 40ish or less.

3. Simple=no gimmicks. if you can play the classic map you could play this one.

4. It would have great graphics, once im finished with it.

1. You do know that 800x800 and 600x600 (as far as i know) r over the size limit??

2. 40ish is usually the minimum now a days

3. eh....

4. Then whats it supposed to be of??

Pacific War.
Pacific War will be a map encompassing approximately the same area where the Japanese fought during WWII. The map will contain land territories and sea territories, with the sea territories acting as "blockading" territories. For example

For example, if Korea and Japan were land territories, the Korean Strait would be a blocking territory. It would be necessary to control the Korean Strait in order to attack from Korea to Japan

Such an idea would have to be carfully made to ensure that stalemates, luck drop and a bunch of other factors dont deteriate from a good gaming experience.

P.s. moved
