i would never consider anything other than 24h or 5 mins, any in between would literally take a whole day and would probably lead to at least half the players deadbeating.........
anything less than 24 hours and more than 10 mins is just not good.
first off, like others have said for the 3h/6h/12h/etc when would you sleep? i leave home at 6:45 am and dont get back home until 6:30 pm unless i have a meet then i get home after 10 pm.
also wouldnt you hate it if a player decides that because he or she is losing that they will wait out and play their turns at the very last moment, hoping that you leave so they can get you to deadbeat? seriously, i aint gonna sit at the monitor for even 10 mins refreshing and pulling hair outta my head
i have mixed feeling about saying 10 mins even, 5 mins is a good amount for speed games since you cant really drag it out whereas with 10 mins you can drag out just 6 turns into over an hour easily (10mins x 6turns + opponents turns or just 10x6 for freestyle)
To whom it may concern,
Me and some of my buddies have noticed that sometimes with speed games, you're so rushed that you make bad decisions. I don't like playing "casual games" anymore, but would like a little more time than five minutes in a speed game.
Is there any way you could create in option in "Start a Game" where the game-starter could select any round length he wanted (e.g. 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 7 minutes, etc.)? I think that would allow for some good middle ground between the 5 minute and 24 hour poles. Thanks for your consideration,
5 minutes Have it.
10 minutes Seems possible for speed games on large maps.
30 minutes Why?
1 hour Why?
12 hours People have lives this has been rejected.
24 hours Have it.
3 days Why?
7 days Why?
wtf mate. 7 days to take a turn? this means that i could actually have to wait 49 days to take a turn in an 8 player game
player 1: so did you miss a turn while you were on your 2 weeks holiday?
player 2: nope only 2 players moved. i still have 5 weeks of waiting before my turn comes.
or how about this.
Q. what's the longest game ever?
A. 3 years and 15 rounds
“In the beginning God said, the four-dimensional divergence of an antisymmetric, second rank tensor equals zero, and there was light, and it was good. And on the seventh day he rested.”- Michio Kaku
Give the option in speed games for 1 minutes, 2 1/2 minute, and 5 minute turns.
Specifics/Details:
Many times players complain about how slow speed games go, especially when everybody waits 4 minutes and 30 seconds before doing anything. This would give the option to have much faster speed games
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
It will vastly speed up speed games, and give an option for faster, or slower speed games

I think minute and a half times would be totally awesome... I don't know about choosing your own times however, that could complicate things and make it all messy...
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.
