I find it would make many group leaders lives so much easier if we had more mod-like powers (topic locking, editing, etc.). My suggestion is a simple one: give usergroup leaders the position of limited mod, so that we can better control our groups.
Also, make it possible to make sub-forums in the groups. This could provide a much more prosperous group positioning and organization for our groups.

Give him time. Lack is working very hard on this. (besides, if we wait awhile, then many bugs will be found by other sites and fixed so we won't have as many headaches....)

Umm, I doubt he meant next January, since he's not really an asshole. So I'm guessing he's working on it, and it should be in by the end of the month :)
lol, its a joke man i wasnt serious! its a lot of work since he has to edit some of the forum code and test it and all that, all my post was was just a joke on the time between updates

Dont get too excited about "_____ is being released on _____ day". its almost always delayed.
True, we shouldn't get excited, but the point is that Link is thinking about this idea for the next update whenever it should come. And to be fair, Link has a lot on his plate, along with the others who have to update this game/forum. It's complex shit, so we should be as patient as possible

Link? From Zelda?
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.
Question... Since at the top, it says there are no moderators at each of our specific areas, wouldn't it be easy to just put us as moderators to that area using the admin control panel, and just restricting our access to the team area?

That's what we did originally, long ago when we first did usergroups, but we weren't so keen on having 'Usergroup Leaders/Moderators' show up in Green on the Online List, because it created confusion as to who was only a 'Usergroup Mod' and who was a 'Global Mod'.

So we'll wait until the next version of phpBB.

this could have been solved by all real mods getting the same colour as the admins and a different colour then for the usergroup mods. This was a very, very weak reason not to do this even for a brief period of time - most usergroup leaders would love 48 hours or so to tidy up their forums.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Andy i'm glad you can confirm this, the above post is the first definite confirmation of this both lack (in this thread) and twill have said they hoped this would be the case but made no definite commitments, its great to know this is now definite.
