Taken to the ER for too much pot?? I can't say I've ever heard of that before, and I've smoked/been around smokers for a long time. There had to have been some other drug involved there, if it was just weed you wouldn't have to go to hospital.
I'd rather be in a room full of people high than most pubs full of people drunk. Don't find too many fights being caused by people smoking pot (alcohol on the other hand...) But at the same time, if people don't want to smoke it themselves, then that's there choice, nothing worse than people trying to make you try some shit that you are not comfortable with (and its these situations generally that people have bad drug experiences, the peer pressure times)
I think that some people can take drugs and have a responsible habit. I consider myself one. I smoke weed a couple of days a week, and on special occasions i'll find myself dropping acid or magic mushrooms (sex on acid is possibly one of the best things ever) but I still go to work everyday, pay the bills.. etc. If I don't have money to buy weed, then I'll go without. It's pretty simple. It's only when people get habitual with their usage that shit starts going bad (I know a few of these)
I think people who end up drug dependent often started out with very low will power in the first place. In no way does my drug habit control me at all, I control it.
On a side note, and I think I've mentioned this before in a drug thread, (this is for the people of faith to think about) - the same part of the brain lights up during drug usage and prayer. Religion opiate of the masses? Maybe it's true in more ways than one
