I'd suggest you to crawl up to 1.4k and then join :) At least I think that most people do it (though I'm not sure).

How do I stay up here/there? I don't. I started from lieutenant and I've moved between 1.4k-1.8k since I got premium :P Hardest was to drop from 1880 to 1520 in 3 days :P

Don't play too many games at a time and certainly stay away from speed games especially doodle assasins games.
