Game Type	Terminator	In a terminator game you get points for the players that you eliminate.
Initial Troops	Manual	With manual initial troops, each region is initially populated with 1 troop and during the first round of the game players deploy the rest wherever they see fit. During this first round, you cannot see your opponents' deployments and all players can play simultaneously.
Play Order	Sequential	A player is selected at random to go first and then subsequent players follow in turn. During a team game the play order alternates between the teams.
Spoils	Escalating	At the end of your turn if you have conquered at least one region you get 'spoils.' Once you have three of the same color (or three different) these can be traded in at the start of your turn for bonus troops. Escalating Spoils indicates that each set traded in will be worth more than the previous. The first set is worth 4 bonus troops. Then 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 etc. If you own any of the regions that you trade in you get two bonus troops on those regions.
Reinforcements	Chained	At the end of your turn you can reinforce once from one region to another (they must be connected by regions that you own).
Fog of War	Yes	Fog of War masks enemy positions that are not adjacent to your forces (or your team's forces). It also masks region and zone names in the log
Trench Warfare	No	You can only assault from regions held since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region during your turn you cannot assault from it until your next turn.
Round Limit	None
Round Length	24 Hours	Each player has up to 24 hours to complete a turn. You will get an email notification when it is your turn to play.
Scoring	Regular	Regular leaderboard scoring is in place for this game

2012-07-26 01:26:04 - dementia13: Likewise, I've complained before about the escalating spoils and I'll complain again. I think before the house of cards fell down I was literally in the strongest position on the map. I had a lot of troops and a full cash waiting... yet I come back
2012-07-26 01:26:34 - dementia13: 12 hours later to see I've lost. I can't emphasize enough how horrible escalating spoils is. Even if you take "when to cash" into account as a strategy it's still horrible. You can be smart and streategic and doing well and still get screwed.
