So, for the last 3 months or so, i have been coding very simple flash games, and i feel they arent too bad for a casual, amateur coder.
Here are my current list of games, hosted on
Kongregate:
Fighter Defence - My first game.
Fighter Assault - my second game
Fighter Escape - My Third game, and first to incorporate an Upgrade System
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze - My Fourth game, and hardest game
Fighter Assault 2 - My Fifth and most advanced game
BattlePong - my Sixth game, and first attempt at a new style
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze 2 - Sequel to The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze: Ultimate Edition - My latest and most successful game
Please vote and/or leave feedback as to your favourite game, and how you think i could improve

Edit: Newest game is out here:
Shootout

Fighter Defense - very basic, seemed like a game i got on my mobile. It was your first game, so fair do's.
Fighter Assault - Like it, the varying speed of aliens and limited fire rate is good
Fighter Escape - bit unfair, as the aliens come up behind you so I kept on dying very quickly.
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze - my arrow keys are too sensitive so i cant even do the first level
Fighter Assault 2 - I like it, although those box aliens are way too hard. As soon as they start shooting it you can't get em without being hurt
Battlepong - Possibly the most imaginative game I've seen in a long long time. Absolute quality.
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze 2 - like it more then the first, although maybe you should get the false S's to go to other places, rather then always to the starting point
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze: Ultimate Edition - love the speed changer, best of the 3

Fighter defense
Have the enemies shoot later and move more, I think that would make it more interesting.
Fighter assault
It's weird how enemy ships can be on top of each other.
Fighter escape
Interesting concept, I hadn't seen that done before, but the amount of stuff that comes flying at you is just too much. There's hardly any chance of dodging, I say do an overhaul of it, make a version for fullscreen where there's less stuff/space and slow it down a bit in the early stages. But the concept is great.
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze
Actually doesn't seem to be that hard, it's just a lot of quickly pressing and releasing the direction keys and finding the right teleporter. But it is frustrating, the walls and the yellow thingy you control don't end and begin where they appear to, so you often get back to start when entering the wrong white space. Needs improvement.
Fighter Assault 2
A huge improvement over 1, but the enemies still go on top of each other.
BattlePong
Sideways Breakout with moving blocks. The controls are... not the best.
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze 2
The walls and the thingy still don't begin and end where they appear to.
The Worlds Most Frustrating Maze: Ultimate Edition
Even in the ultimate edition... the walls and thingy. Most of the time it fits, but there are still places where it doesn't.

A huge part of the Worlds Most Frustrating Maze was based on choosing the right course, and a few areas are actually inaccessibly by design. Of course, it can be glitchy, and alot of the movement is down to how fast your computer is and what you have set the speed at - slower computers tend to lag more, so while you think you only moved a little, it jumps forward alot :S
Thansk that amount of feed back though! For my next games, ill try to work on those problems

It's ok if parts are inaccessible, but it shouldn't look like they were then.

Well thats the trick lol. It makes you think and calls upon your judgement and eye skills.

You definitely need something showing objectives and controls before the game starts. It took me a while to figure out that the battlepong could fire.
Other than that, and what people have said before, I hope you keep at it. If you do want to make a thing of it, maybe see if you have a friend with a talent for design. Get your interest in developing game mechanics combined with a decent designer and you'll have something.
That and build a better learning curve in to the games. First levels should be about learning the controls and ideas of the game. Start with the ridiculously absolute basics. Then build up. The maze games are a good example of this. A few easy levels would make the game make more sense. Jumping right in and with no instructions, it just feels random.
Seriously though- keep at this stuff. You've clearly got ideas and you develop them.

I think you misunderstood.
Let me rephrase: It's ok if parts are inaccessible, but it shouldn't look like they were accessible then.
Which is currently the case.
