Here's how I'll decide if it's a 3-0 win or a 2-1 win.
I will look at the deployments for each turn (not including spoils). If the loser has out-deployed the winner in more than 1/3 of the turns (not including turns where players deploy the same amount of armies) then they will be awarded 1 frame, with the winner taking 2.
The Semi Finals of the Shanghai Masters will include 1 foggy game which is worth 5 frames. The Grand Final will include 2 foggy games.
This is how it'll work for the foggy games.
If the loser has out-deployed the winner in more than 1/3 of the turns, the score will be 3-2.
If the loser has out-deployed the winner in more than 1/5 of the turns, the score will be 4-1.
This tournament will consist of 7 mini-tournaments, one for each of the main events in the Snooker calendar.
Each mini-tournament will be a standard 1v1 knock-out tournament, with prize money being awarded for each event.
Everyone will play 6 of the events, with the Masters event being played only by the top 16 players (those with the most prize money won after the first three events).
At the end of all 7 tournaments the player at the top of the Prize Board will be declared the winner of the World Snooker Season 2009-2010!
Each event will be played on a different map, relevant to the name or place of the event - e.g. the UK Championship will be played on the British Isles map etc.
