This tournament is designed to honor some of CC's greatest mapmakers. There will be 8 Regions (see below) each featuring one or two of the most prolific mapmakers.
[spoiler=Cairnswk Region]Each player here must choose a map for which Cairnswk has earned a mapmaking medal. Each of the selected maps will be played in Round 1. The potential Cairnswk maps are as follows: Bamboo Jack, Battle of Actium, Cairns Coral Coast, Madness, Pearl Harbor, Prohibition Chicago, Rail Europe, Rail USA, Valley of the Kings, Waterloo, Battle for Australia, WWII Gazala, Egypt: Lower, Egypt: Upper, Sydnwy Metro, Treasures of Galapagos, Egypt: Nubia, Halloween Hollows, Forbidden City, Rail Australia, WWI Ottoman Empire, or Cairns Metro.
There will be only one map used from each of Cairns' series (Rail and Egypt) so the first player to select one from these series will lock out all the others in the series for Round 1[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Widowmakers Region]Each player in this region will select one map in the Widowmaker lexicon. Note that only one map from the USA 6 pack will be able to be selected so the first person to select one will lock all the others out for the rest of Round 1.
The maps available for play are: Arms Race!, Canada, Circus Maximus, Conquer Man, Great Lakes, Indochina, King of the Mountains, Montreal, Rail USA, 8 Thoughts, Draknor Level 1, Poker Club, Classic Art, The USA 6 pack (only 1 of them will play in Round 1), Midgard[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Yeti C Region]Each player in this region will select one map from the Yeti C lexicon (only one of the AOR maps may be selected for Round 1).
Maps available for this region are: Age of Merchants, Age of Realms series (only 1 will be played in Round 1), Battle for Iraq!, Dust Bowl, Feudal War, Malta, Luxembourg, CC City Mogul, Conquer 4, Poker Club, Classic Art, San Marino[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Qwert Region]Qwert has currently 8 map medals so we will be playing each of his maps. You can select a map for fun or can just claim a slot in the Qwert Region.
Maps that will be played in this region: WWII Ardennes, WWII Eastern Front, WWII Western Front, WWII Europe, WWII Iwo Jima, Imperium Romanum, Peloponnesian War, Europe 1914[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Oaktown Region]Oaktown currently has 9 map medals, however the St. Patty's Day map isn't usable for this tournament so we'll be playing each of his currently eight active maps. You can select a "home" map for fun if you want or you can just claim a slot in the Oaktown Region.

Unless otherwise noted, a player signing up should indicate which region and map they'd like to have as their home map in Round 1. Merely picking a map doesn't work as many maps will show up in multiple regions.
[spoiler=Round 1 scoring]As with most Bart tournament scoring systems you win you get a point, you don't win you get nothing. There are no points for second place. The top 4 players in terms of total wins at the end of 8 Round 1 games will advance. In the event of a tie there will be a one game playoff between all tied players selected from one of the maps appropriate to the region. In regions where not all of a mapmaker's maps are played the tiebreaker map will be randomly selected by the unplayed maps. In the regions where all of a mapmaker's maps are played one will be randomly selected to play on.
In the tiebreaker game only-order of elimination will determine advancement. Thus if 5 players are tied with 2 slots advancing the first three players eliminated in the tiebreaker game will be eliminated from the tournament.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Round2]Round 2 will merge regions as follows
cairnswk with edbeard/mibi
Widowmakers with gimil/Jota
Yeti C with DiM/RjBeals
Qwert with Oaktown
Each region will provide 4 maps for the second round (split regions will provide 1 each). Maps that were not played in Round 1 will be randomly assigned to play in Round 2. In the event that a region or subregion will not have enough to provide enough unplayed maps for Round 2 the maps from Round 1 will be thrown into the randomizer to determine which of them will be replayed in Round 2.
Scoring and tiebreaking will be the same as Round 1[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Round 3]Again we will combine regions for Round 3
Cairnswk/edbeard/mibi will combine with Qwert/Oaktown
Widowmakers/gimil/Jota will combine with Yeti C/Dim/RjBeals
Each Region will provide 2 maps for play (subregions will get 1 each) with maps not played in Round 1 or 2 being selected first. In the event that there aren't enough maps that were not played in Rounds 1 or 2 then those that were played in Round 2 will be taken out of the mix with the remainder randomly selected.

[spoiler=FINALS]With 8 players left all maps that are eligible for the tournament will be thrown into a randomizer regardless as to previous use. Each of the mapmakers may only have one map in the finals so once a mapmaker's map is selected, all other maps associated with that mapmaker will be taken out. Also, there will be no duplicate maps in the finals so once a map is selected for one mapmaker it will be eliminated from the ramdomizer for all mapmakers.
In the finals there can be only one-most wins takes it all
In the event of a tie-one map will be randomly selected to play on from the maps not played in the finals with the winner taking all. In the event that this is a 1v1 matchup it will be a best of 3, in all other situations it will be one game only.[/spoiler]
