Grand National

After last year's serious coup, I have nothing in the ante post market this year.

So today I shall be having a smaller set of wagers on the following:

28 CAN'T BUY TIME 50/1 (win and place)
11 MY WILL 7/1 (win)
30 IRISH INVADER 20/1 (win and place)
6 OLLIE MAGERN 125/1 (win and place)

I think last years win for Comply or Die did him little favour in the long term and I am surprised to see him in the line up again.

I will also be having one topical bet (I do every year, it is amazing how often it wins, eg: Party Politics in an election year etc etc) this years topical bet will be:

18 OFFSHORE ACCOUNT (win and place)

Hope you win if you are having a bet and good luck!

My flutter is...

Battlecry 50/1 (e/w)
Butlers Cabin 8/1 (win)
Darkness 20/1 (e/w)

the mrs is going for

Butlers Cabin 8/1 (win)
Offshore Account 25/1 (e/w)
Rambling Minister 10/1 (win)
Stan 125/1 (e/w)

Hopefully we'll have a better year than last year

Well done! I was amazed that Offshore Account faded so badly and only ended up 15th after leading at 3 out.

Could not believe I had missed Venetia Williams having a runner at 100/1, that was serious value for such a good trainer.

Yes, a turn up for the books eh? Would like to know if anyone put a punt on it.

Not a bad race this year

Black Apalachi (win) looked so good and fell at Beechers 2nd time around.

Snowy Morning (ew) made too many mistakes going in the inside line.

Battlecry (ew) not really mentioned towards the end.

Sweepstake at work. Butlers Cabin and Stan. Butlers Cabin very dissappointing.

Missus had Big Fella Thanks (ew) did not here his name mentoined until 2 to go and it was too far back at that time. :(

oh well first year in a while we've won balls all.

I was on him too with a ew on Offshore account (since I'm working offshore the now!).
Bag of piss.

Knew I should have been on Comply or die (ew). But the 100-1 shot! What a bet for the housewives 50p!

Surely you do not help finance the evil capitalist gambling industry, especially the particularly bourgoise, toffee-nosed, upper class sport of horse racing????? :o :o

Well I never...

Ha ha ha! I don't see many toffs down my bookies. I used to go to Hamilton Races a lot when I stayed just next door.
I tell you, bookies will be first against the wall come the revolution! Robbin' bastards the lot of them :D

How very indulgent and decadant of you to have such a precise knowledge of your local bookies.
