:D The RSS feed (haha I used that term as if I know what it means) must be up and running again, because my notifier (the old version) is working!

You couldn't explain a bit more about yours, could you, jon? Because I'm pretty sure I've installed it (and under Tools->Extensions it's listed), but I can't see anything new anywhere...I might just be being stupid here, maybe I'm not looking in the right place?

I missed it at first as well. It loads down in the corner by the Greasemonkey icon and just says "0/0" until you right-click and input your user number.

It looks like this. The icons turn green when it is your turn, and double clicking them takes you straight to that game!

Assuming it still works if firefox is minimised? Play a sound when a game is ready - would suggest this only occurs if all are currently red and one or more go green.

Pop up i'm in two minds for, if its easy :) If firefox is minimised then a pop up to indicate a turn is ready or restore firefox - but that could be irritating :)

it works while firefox is open (including minimised)

I have made a rough version that can play sounds when a game changes from waiting to ready - i just don't know what sounds to use - any suggestions? (note they should be non-copyright sounds)

Once i have 5 or so I'll package it up - call it a new version and upload.

Wow, this is an awesome program. In times of need I might switch to kevinc's notifier since it updates every minute, but 5 minutes is more than adequate unless you're in an intense real time situation. And its so easy to change that over night I'll bump the time to 30 minutes if I remember. That'll take some strain off the server instead of people checking the site every minute for the past few months with the notifier's settings.

I also like how unobstrusive it is (doesn't block any of the window). Simple and yet very effective!

Another nice feature- you can check on opponents or friends or whatever very easily with this (just change the user name and you see the status of all of their games!) You could do that with the notifier as well, but you had to look up their user number every time. Thanks to lacks addition this is much easier.

You never know who might be checking your games out now!

(JOHNNYROCKET24 has 99 going currently :P)

Hi Jon!

I have a proposal: How about an option to only show the games where it's your turn with color.

It could then look like this :

3/20/4 xxx

where the x are the green bars for your "Ready" games
and the numbers in front are for: Ready/Waiting/Eliminated

jonducrou, since the new version tooltips for the games are not working for me (and I have the feeling it takes longer than 5 minutes to reload, but that might be just felt)

Which tooltips? The delay might be because i think the update for the RSS server-side became 5 minutes (meaning you may wait up to 10 if unlucky).

Weren't there tooltips to say (Game xyz - Ready) when hovering over a green dot? If not, then they should be added...

I wtached the behaviour of the Notifier, it's almost everytime 10 minutes until I see a Ready game that I already played vanishing.

You are right they are broken - fixed now - should be a couple of days till mozilla approves the extension and it appears as an update!

You able to change the check time to every minute. With Lack now only updating the rss every 5 minutes it does mean that you have to wait that time + the next notify check time.

Hi Jon,

I wonder if its possible, cause i dont expect it to be in the RSS feed or at the conquerclub website. But is it possible not only show the games where it's your turn, but a limited number of games (so not all) i want to follow explicitly. It would look them same as the normal version but just limited to the games it is my turn and the games i want to follow and where it is not my turn.

In any case thx for this great feature. I really like it!
