Bedub....I hadn't realized about the run on ammo that you mentioned....I went to our local sporting goods store a few days ago and their supply of ammo (typically 25 feet of wall) was 90% wiped out - no idea of when they can restock. Turns out it is this way everywhere around here....WTF, over? I was amazed.

And to address that "trolling" comment someone made.....I most definately did NOT post this to troll. I posted this because it is a grave concern to me. Period.

I didnt see nasty "trolling" accusations posted in the plethora of religious / political crap threads that are exactly that.... interesting. My accuser doesnt like weapons I guess.

License to carry permits have skyrocketed since 4-Nov-08.

When I moved to the people's republic of Massachusetts, I left my guns with my Dad back in Syracuse. Mostly because here in Mass you need a F.I.D. (Firearms Identification) card just to possess any kind of weapon, including shotguns. You can't even buy BB's here without that card.

I saw a while ago where all this was going, conceded, and got my Class-A conceal carry.

We see now (since the beginning of '09 or so) the same ammo shortages here in Mass too, believe it or not .

Big Bro may now know who I am now and what weapons I possess; but you know what? I have them, and they can take them from my cold dead hands......

Well....I wasnt expecting it but I received a reply from writing my congressman. I am sure it was a form letter but he expressed his agreement on my feelings towards HR 45. Surprising.

I exhibit frequently at the large occasional gun shows held in these parts as some of the items I make in my small business are pistol holsters and bags for shooting Sporting Clays. I will be going this weekend; it should be very interesting to see the large ammunition vendors and what people are buying. There are typically 4 or 5 of them at a show each with a virtual truckload of ammo at very reasonable prices....we shall see............
