You can't make this stuff up!

Alright, this story out of New Zealand reminds me of what I did to one of my classes when I started out as a student teacher years ago. I had one group of rowdies who just wouldn't abide by the rules so as punishment, I forced them to listen to The Carpenter's Greatest Hits while they completed their map work (it was a geography class). I never had a discipline problem with that class for the remainder of the semester. :lol:

So, how do you deal with mall rats over in New Zealand?...you bring in the big guns!

To keep youths from congregating around convienience stores in my city, the play clasical music and opera outside the fron doors. Very effective.

But if your talking tourture, my ex-mother in law had one of the largest collections of old 50's - 70's trucker songs. This shit will make you puke in 4 min or less. However if you hold your wits about you you can lie flat on your back and aspirate you vomit to end the agony.

And th4e assumption is that only the kids would be driven out by the music?

I vote for Mantovani to drive people away. Has he been forgotten yet (please say "yes"!)

i can sing any note higher than you can
i can sing any not higher than you....
no you cant
yes i can

over and over and over....

the mall would be empty if they played this gem over and over...i promise you that

This is dangerous, when I was a high value "asset" of the CIA, Manilow was often used to trigger my kill instincts. I'm sure there are plenty of other black ops secret super soldiers wandering around the American landscape trying to make sense of what we did in operations that might get seriously confused by hearing Manilow at a strip mall, and instead of recognizing their surroundings as just a peaceful setting for commerce, it could be mistaken as a cluster of Pakistani al-Qaeda sympathizers (also known to be rabid manilow fans!)!

Good laugh, that was just worded so funny.

Did you mean after the acid wore off? :lol:

BTW, Ted Nugent has to be the worst musician of the era. Qoute the Nudge;
Hmmm..... I need a really cool chorus for this song,... let me see here...... ok here's an idea.... "WANGO TANGO"..... ok, there's a really good start,..... now I need another thing there......... hmmmmmm,........... ok, what about this, "WANGO TANGO,... WANGO TANGO"........ yeah, that sounds really good........ I think this could be a really big hit for me........ now I need to find the perfect way to end this chorus line here........... hmmmm.... kinda tricky..... but what if I did this something here, just like this..... "WANGO TANGO, WANGO TANGO,.......... ended with 1 more WANGO TANGO." Wow, that sounds real heavy.... You know that I've always believed that I could right real music, you know that?

Someone take his guitar away. What were you people thinking putting him on the radio?
