March Madness 2009I'm thinking that with the NCAA Men's Division I Tournament starting in about 16 days, now is the time to start thinking about people getting involved in the "madness" mentality.
Does anyone know of a website where we could make our picks and match our scores against each other? I tried it one year and the website I chose would only allow me to keep score through the 2nd round...then it asked for a payment to continue.
Now that the NFL season is over, this is really the highlight sports event of the spring season. I would also like to invite our friends from other countries to participate even if they know nothing of our college sports traditions here in the USA. Hey, you've got a 50-50 chance of picking the winning team in each game even if you don't follow NCAA basketball over here.

There's always been at least 2 to 3 kids that score high on this thing every year when I print off hard copies of the brackets, so give it a shot!
Pimpdave, Neoteny, Sackett, Serbia, Iz Man, and company (sorry if I forgot the other sports-minded people here)....I hope you guys get involved in this. Talking trash throughout the tournament is one of the fun things to do as our favorites get eliminated. (Yes Serbia, I know the championship game is going to be held in Michigan...yada yada yada)
1987 - The greatest championship game ever played (just for you Iz...again)

You won't leave me alone with that will you?......
I'd argue the 2003 Champ game was the best.
I now give you

I'm with luns, 1987 was the best, but I thought that 2008 was pretty good.

I'm in. If my 7 year old can pick College Bowl winners(she tied for first and collected $250) even the Euros have a chance.

Ugh, I'm a big KU fan and still had nightmares about that game until we finally won last year. I'd join a yahoo bracket league as well.

One of my biggest nightmares was when Christian Laettner hit that last second shot in 1992. I can remember all my friends and I screaming, "Don't give them that in-bounds pass!" Of course, they let Laettner catch the ball anyway. Ugggh!

Since I know a bit about your background, I'm going to go out on a limb and say:

Yeah, ESPN and yahoo are both places that can keep score for the bracket. And I would definately be in, won my bracket last year, had the whole Final 4 so hopefully I can repeat again this year.

The Madness of March is continuing to perkilate...
Baylor knocked #1 seed Kansas out of the Big 12 Tourney
and after losing 24 consecutive games to Texas Longhorns
just knocked them off 76-70 to advance to the finals.
#1 Ranked UNC sqeezes past Va.Tech 79-76
Maryland bumps off #6 Ranked Wake Forest 75-64
Temple beats #19 Xavier 55-53
W.Va / 'Cuse just started with Duke/Boston College, Okla.State/Missouri and UCLA/USC to follow.

THAT was a great game! Wouldn't it be something if Baylor won the entire tournament?
I'm surprised Serbia hasn't come in here to bust my chops about Indiana losing to Penn State. Not only do we have no football team, but we also have a terrible basketball season as well.
I wish we could go back in time to more glorious memories -

Despite losing miserably in the Big East, Pitt is due.

The Big East has three number one Seeds with Louisville as the overall #1 along with Pittsburgh, Connecticut and North Carolina. The Big East, Big Ten and ACC all have seven teams in the tourney
I think the West Region looks pretty damn tough with Memphis at #2 opposite U Conn and Purdue, Missouri, Washington, Marquette and Texas A&M in the bracket. Pittsburgh's got Duke, Villanova, Florida State, Xavier, UCLA and Texas in the East Bracket, while UNC has Oklahoma, Syracuse and Gonzaga to contend with in the South Bracket. I think Louisville is the only Big East team to make the Final Four in Detroit and #12 Western Kentucky will get March Madness started with an upset of #5 Illinois in the first round.
Arizona should have been bounced off of the bubble for St.Mary's

Ok, I joined, but it won't let me fill out my bracket, because I can't even see it! Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm, I know you should go to a page where you name your bracket, and then make your picks. I am not computer-savvy, but maybe there is a setting or java script that you need to enable?
I can't see it with firefox either. Explorer works just fine.

Ok thanks. I'll just use explorer.
EDIT: This is weird, but it's not showing up on IE either. So, now, it says I picked all the top seeds in every game, even though I didn't....so, I'll try to get this fixed asap, and if anybody figures out the issue, just let me know. Thanks
