World too populated?

Post by Heimdall »

The world population is getting close to 6 billion people. Is it too much in your opinion.

What are the benefits or problems of having this many people on the planet?

QFT

Nothing that we can do though (aside from not having children. 2 children is the perfect number. Two parents, two children, no increase in population.

Have no fear, natural disasters will curb the problem.

Well, you can always rely on the US military machine to do its best to assist in alleviating the problem.

I think mass murder of those with STDs should be in order, but I (I'm free of STDs) want to sow my seeds.

Mass murder is a realistic option when it comes to over-population. =P~

Well, actually there's something else we can do, it's just more controversial.

truth is, the world population is actually close to 7 billion now, that just seems a bit too high. THink about it, if there were less people, there would be less poverty, less hunger, and global warming would not be an issue if there were less people to use fossil fuels. Also, for the US immigration issue, if there were less people in Mexico, there would probably be less of a need for them to come here.

so, I say the population should be less, but I won't give up my life for it

We could just start using embryotic stem cells to help the people living now and stop the increase in population.

"DNA evidence indicates that modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago,[3] and they now inhabit every continent, with a total population of over 6.6 billion as of 2007.[4]"

Global warming would still be an issue as the earth has a cycle of changing climats. The sun affects the earth more then our population does.
Although, less people does equate to less pollution, and less idiots amoungst us.

Again, I propose a culling.

More or less, but if your screen name starts with 'sound' and ends with 'out9' - you go straight to the head of the line to ensure less morons are reproduced later in life

Two cows are standing in a field. One says to the other "You know, mad cow disease is on the rise" the other quickly replies "I know, good thing I'm a chicken"
