Feedback etiquette re: deadbeats [Outdated]

Post by Seinfreak »

Forgive a newbie, but what is the etiquette for leaving bad feedback for suspected deadbeats? After 3 consecutive missed turns, is it proper to leave bad feedback for a user?

I sometimes do if they missed turns in my games but I could tell that they were playing in other games.

If you're unsure if it warrants negative feedback, give them a neutral.

Generally leave negative if they get to 3 missed turns and are then kicked from the game. True, not everybody can take turns every day but two or three days without making an apology to opponents in game or giving an explanation is probably too far.

You are also usually able to tell if somebody is taking turns in other games, and so on. Watch out if opponents are missing turns to get bonus armies, its a cheap tactic, and while within the rules and they are no grounds for negative feedback, make sure you are well fortified and leave neutral if you are sure missing turns were deliberate. Otherwise don't leave feedback at all.

just remember the golden rule do unto others, another words, It is there for the rest of his playing career. we do not know real life situations. it is easier to give no negative than feel like an ass later.

If you are more forgiving, it makes you more the better minded player

Wouldn't it be better to give the negative before the game gets archived, and then remove it later if real life situations were truly the cause??

I generally give a negative for anyone who deadbeats out of a game without an explaination. Of course I also put in the comments why I'm giving it to them. I also put them on my ignore list.
