Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how many MB would be downloaded from playing conquer club. Living in a house of 6 people all with access to the internet on the computers, it often drops back to dial up speed for the last week or so of the month, which sucks.
One of my house mates accused me of taking most of it up because i 'play those onlines games that chew up heaps of bandwith'... conquer club is the only game i really play and i just assumed it wouldnt actually download much because there is no moving graphics and such..
If someone could let me know if i'm right or not that would be good
i normally have about 20 games active at one time and generally check and play my turns 2 or 3 times a day...
question

Loading a few MB's worth of graphics a few dozen times a day is not a contributing factor to your slowdown, unless you're running a 56K dial-up connection in the first place.
Have the most computer-savvy among you to check all of your computers for background applications and programs like McAfee (and turn the online updates to run less frequently), run spyware and malware removers, and also make sure no one's running torrents or downloading while the connection speed drops. If ConquerClub's the only online game you play, it shouldn't take up much more bandwidth than normal browsing.

Seriously, CC doesn't take much. From my firewall, I've been playing and posting for hours and hours and the download is only about 2M. And that includes many other sites as well!
Tell ur house mates to stay off of utube and porn sites and such as was mentioned b4, and to quit frigging complaining! YOU ARE NOT TO FAULT!
