to edit the settings for the new forum chat, go to your inbox or control panel and under the user control panel you see a mchat tab.. You can turn it off, move it to the bottom or even invert it

You now have 2 profile pages, the old forum profile and the new CC profile page.
The old forum page has been reverted back to the way it was intended due to possible security holes made to put things like location and medals on it.
These can now be found on your CC Profile page.

The changes were done for security reasons more than anything, to keep the site safe.

As someone who worked in web design for several years, and has experience in digital accessibility, this is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. Can I ask what prompted the change? Sure, it was old, but it was functional. I'm trying to not be too judgmental on Day 1 but overall, it's extremely less accessible, which is the major issue for me. Some things are obvious, such as the abominable profile page, but some are subtlely worse, such as sub-forums indication of being unread. Wall messages are a lot more cumbersome to send, too, which seemed to be a critical element on the social side - increasing the effort required to communicate is always a net negative.

The previous layout made sense, which is ultimately the most important thing. This does not.

Is this change permanent? Was there a test rollout on the beta site? I'd love to understand what process took place for this to be the result.

juke, if you go to the quick links up in top left, it has the view your posts tab, if that's what you're referring too. it was easier when it was in top right, but maybe after a bit, it will make sense.

Ignoring our village idiot rant. On the PC, it's really accessible, doesn't bother me at all, but on my phone, where i normally do my browsing now a days, it's just a nightmare to deal with. Switched it to desktop version hoping for less of a headache, but the general issue is that it's just... ugly for some reason. Like it's some sort of weird Frankenstein project where the guy just discovered how to develop web design and this is the guinea pig. I'm no expert by any means, but it's like... some older versions exist, slapped together with head scratching features I don't believe anyone asked for. I get the security issues, and we're getting more and more spam/AI bots, but surely it didn't require half a face lift?

Most people are against change though, and i get that, especially since we're down in users, but it's just simply too damn much of a hassle on my phone up navigate. Not sure if anyone else feels the same way. I mean, i can't even click a thread and find the latest post, it just sends me scrolling rapidly through the thread like it's having a seizure.

On the positive side, it does look alot better on PC. I don't face anything eye gouging bad. I don't even mind the chat on the top. It's arguably more accessible imo. I haven't tried starting a game... not sure if i want to RISK it.

i think the visuals are ok, but the forum is definitely broken. the worst part is there doesn't seem to be an active attempt to fix anything. i would believe it would make good sense when you roll something drastic out, you have the tech team on standby solving problems. maybe they are, but it doesn't feel that way. seems like this was hurried up and dumped, then everyone took off to Ibiza and got drunk. there is an issue with the spoilers, first unread post doesn't work, and when you post a message it takes you on a roulette wheel spin to a post that you don't care about. it's supposed to show you the post you just submitted. all of these are super annoying, but would be understandable if there was some sort of acknowledgement that there are issues and are being seriously looked into with a bit of progress thrown in the mix.

a few other things i will vent about, i don't mind the new profile page, but it seems like i never get to the one i want. it's always the other. and i just can't understand the purpose of hiding the medals from the forum. it's like the only place you see them. no one will go looking at your profiles just to see the medals. and it's helpful in the tournament thread to see the signups credentials. it's like a quick vetting process to see if they are a legitimate participant.

i'm mostly upset about these spoiler tabs. that's a big part of my tournament threads, and it causes such problems when i try and update each night. it has really thrown a monkey wrench into my routine.

Do the scores update more slowly on the new profile? They are incorrect, based on the scores listed in my most recently finished games.

Somehow when I check my profile it is not updated, but when someone else check it is for them.
So I think it's some browser caching. ( I just tried in a different browser and there it's updated).
