Hi guys,

Welcome to my first hosting game. We will play the setup as per the URL below. Roles were allocated randomly and will be in your inboxes soon:

Additional Rules:
1. Mafia, Wolves and Masons may talk during night and day
2. When the Back-up Mason die before any of the Masons, then the Masons go without a backup (there is only one backup and at this stage, I am the only one knowing who he is)

STANDARD RULES AS PER SIGN-UP THREAD

1.The moderator is always right. Do not try and argue with them. However we are all human and we all make mistakes. The moderator will try and fix any mistake he or she may have made. 2. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record. 3. Do not quote any PM's you receive from the moderator or another player. You may say your name, role, associated abilities. This is a serious offence and could earn you a mod-kill, and/or a blacklist from future games. 4. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you can. 5. Lynch ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in [b][color=#FF0000]BOLD RED[/color][/b], [b]If they are not, they will not be tallied.[/b] 6. Lynching requires a majority of the total votes, [b]once the majority has been reached any unvotes will not be counted.[/b] The majority is half the players alive +1. 7. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death. 8. Lengths of days depend on moderators. Usually they are indefinite until the game starts dragging and then the moderator enforces a deadline. (I will implement a deadline if there is a lack of direction/deadlock). 9.[b]Lengths of nights will last for a maximum of 48 hours, regardless if you sent a night action or not.[/b] 10. Once your death scene has been posted, it's over for you. You can no longer post anything related to the game. Whining is alright, **Voices from beyond the grave** are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed. This means you can post something like "Damn you mafia!" or "Oh well. Go town!" but you cannot post and add to the discussion. This is a serious offence. 11. Be attentive and active in the game. You will be replaced if you don't post. If something prevents you to participate for a long period of time, announce it here or via PM. Help everyone's enjoyment of the game by being active and sending your actions promptly. (Given the small player count and lack of reserves, I may just end up modkilling if there is a lack of posting). 12. You cannot talk at night. 13. If you have any questions or doubts, send a private message to the moderator and ask for help. It would be much worse to remain unsure about your role, mafia rules, whatever than to ask the moderator and then understand. 14. This is the basic list of rules. Moderators will have their own specific changes or additions to rules. Make sure to check them. 15. Have fun!

I looked up mafia wiki and looked for "best to play scenario's" based on mafia wiki stats on this scenario. I deleted that idea in the end because the game only starts when everybody has confirmed their role invite..

Only 9 confirmed sofar? So first we need to wait on everybody's confirmed status. That means waiting on Max too and whatever he wants to say :D :D :D

And the deleted idea was basically to ask EW what would be the best play here (having no PR). Last game lynching D1 turned out to be a bad idea so hearing EW and following EW seems plan? 7 to 11 chance EW is town and if he is not we will notice it when he posts something deviant perhaps? Also Lynching D1 means very blind (as good as random) odds that we will lynch on 4/11 odds hitting scum (very low chance)? Is not helping if we lynch town. We should hear very experienced players first is my idea. Though nut to crack here

Charle , I presume there will be 2 night kills each night?

Can one or both of the scum factions opt not to kill though?

And what happens if Mafia player1 tries to kill Werewolf player1 AND Werewolf player1 tries to kill Mafia player1?

B Road is having a drink at the bar. A road walks in and takes it from him.

Motorway walks in punches A road then shouts out drinks all round on A road

Green tarmac walks in spits in Motorways drink and tells Motorway to buy him a double then go and sit next to B road.

B road asks Motorway why he let Green tarmac treat him like that.

Motorway says he won't mess with Green tarmac cos he's a cyclepath.

Why am I the designated person to ask?

In general, wrt no lynch day 1 (ESPECIALLY in a setup with no prs): theres always going to be 'higher chances' of voting a town out, if there isnt then mafia has won. Well, except in this case w/ werewolves I guess. Would you rather have a day 1 elim with some info into 2 nightkills, or no info at all into 2 nightkills? Everybody will say they are town, but the movement of people and who they are (un)aligning with is better info if you dont enter the day with a mindset of "pressure, but never eliminate".

With that being said, I dont like you shifting responsibility onto me when you've just hard carried town the previous game. vote sonic

It can be 2 guaranteed kills on the night. but might not be a townie as factions cand hit each other I guess.

Yeah but just in case people misread you: town is a faction, mason is a neighbourhood within town.

The two evil factions need to eliminate the other faction too, this game can technically end in a draw for all 3 factions.

So if I have this understood right:

Mafia kills wolves and mason and draws or outvotes town they win

Wolves kill mafia and mason and draws or outvotes town they win

Mason and town kills wolves and mafia - Town wins

That right?

Yes exactly. The masons are part of town, their only advantage is that they know who each other are and can talk day and night, but still part of town.

Yes, it is possible that we end up with 3 people, one from each faction and then it will be a draw.

When you look at the bottom of the "setup" page you will find history games and can see how others played this setup before

Yes, i saw that.. That history mentiones 3 games and all 3 of those games ended up the same way: town lost and on D1 there was (three out of three times).. a townie lynched..
Thats why i asked EW advice (knowing how experienced he is on other mafia forums), and after LC strongly asks to lynch on D1.
