Schedule and Round Breakdown
Two rounds - Round 1 to be exchanged by June 9th 23:59 CCT and Round 2 to be exchanged by July 7th 23:59 CCT
Clans will have 1 week to fill games.

• Round One - 4 Dubs + 5 Trips + 5 Quads chosen by each clan
• Round Two - 5 Dubs + 4 Trips + 4 Quads chosen by each clan plus a Tie-breaker (Trips Classic, no spoils, chained, sunny created by ACES)

War Terms

• Only game types allowed are "Teams" (Polymorphic is not considered a team game)
• All games must have automatic initial troop deploy (no manual)
• All games must be sequential (no freestyle)
• All games must have 24 hour round length (no speed)
• All spoils are allowed except zombie spoils
• All forts are allowed except "no forts"
• There is no limit on the number of trench games
• Round limits are compulsory for trench games
• Each map can only be used twice per clan per clan war but can only be used once per game type (dubs/trips/quads)
• Beta maps are not allowed
• In regards to exchanging games, the home clan only has to create their games, in order for the games to be considered "exchanged"
• 12 Hour Fog of War Rule will not be in effect
• New settings that are implemented after the start of the Cup will be excluded from wars

And The finest Italian red wine were made under the influence of Count Cavour, the Castle of Grinzane Cavour is situated in the Piedmont Barolo region, and Piedmont's Barolo is undoubtedly the king of Italian red wines. Made from Nebbiolo, the wines of this small appellation in Italy's northwest are among the most ageable..

Also, speaking of Malbecs..The connection between France and Chile has been strong since the early 19th century. After Chilean independence, landowners built enough stability and wealth to start traveling back and forth from Europe. They brought many things back with them, including an appreciation for French wine. To satisfy this demand, Chilean authorities invited French wine specialists to help kick start growing French varietals. This led to the founding of the Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura 1838, then the Quinta Normal de Santiago in 1841. The latter was modelled on the École Normale Supérieure in Paris to train local farmers. By the 1850s, the two most important grapes today in South America - Carménère and Malbec - had already taken hold.

What is actually interesting about Malbec in SA (primarily in Argentina where it's a far more important grape than it is in Chile) is that many people had been under the impression that it was just a happy accident that a grape that is largely used in small quantities as a blending grape in Bordeaux (yes, it's the main grape in Cahors but nobody is trying to replicate Cahors in other parts of the world the way they are BDX, I digress) flourished in Argentina and shined. After all, they WERE trying to recreate BDX down there so they planted the 5 grapes of BDX. What is assumed is that they only planted Malbec because it was one of the five and that it was supposed to be a token blending grape there as well.

Now, the part about it flourishing in the hot, arid climate of Argentina is correct. The part that people get wrong is that, pre-phylloxera BDX had a lot more Malbec in it. But it's apparently a pain in the ass to grow in the humid, maritime climate of BDX. So, when they were forced to replant their vineyards, nearly everyone increased the Cab Sauv and Merlot at the expense of Malbec. However, Argentina was planted before phylloxera ravaged Europe so Malbec was widely planted because it was still an important grape in BDX.

Malbec is quite interesting, not only in Cahors but also in South America, South Africa or Australia.
I will not even discuss about BDX, they do not deserve it.

Barolo is awesome, and they understood it as their prize are now awesome too! Brunello is also splendid, with slightly different tastes. But both of them are top 2 in Italy.
I kind of prefer Barbaresco now, not as fine, but half the prize!

I neither said that nor implied it. I simply alluded to why I have a thirst for red wine. As a WSET instructor at a culinary academy I'm also probably more versed in the subject too.

Oh and as for Italian...just my opinion of course but Amarone takes some beating (probably my favourite, but cost prohibits me from buying it too regularly).

Aussie Shz, Southern Spanish reds, Amarone... you sure like big wines. If you want the raisiny quality of Amarone without the price tag, go for Valpolicella Ripasso. I tend to prefer it without even taking the lower price into account because it tends to be more balanced and I actually prefer wines with more acid.

With that in mind, I dig the hell out of French wine. I would imagine they're better represented than any other country in my cellar.

If you are fond of bold reds look out for Negroamaro. This was recommended to me by joecoolfrog, a fellow pisshead, but I have to drive 20 miles to buy it. I'm a terrible quaffer, always taking large glugs, but with this (like an Amarone) one only has to touch one's lips with it.

Try a real French : Château Pontet-Canet 2019 - a Pauillac (Grand Cru Classé), its still affordable, not out of the realm of possibilities like the latour or its adjacent terroir
Château Mouton Rothschild - the winemaker stopped in 2020 so its now or never, ofcourse his successor carries on but Jean Michel Comme retired in may 2020 after 30 years/. a Good price is 130 euro, pricy but you won't regret it and you will thank me

The tannins are super polished and the finish reveals superb length

And if you do not believe me, this is what Robert Parker said about the 2019 Pontet-Canet – “The 2019 Pontet-Canet has the most gorgeous, lifted perfume of lilacs, dark chocolate, Morello cherries and rosehip tea…. A real head-turner, this beauty is absolutely going to steal your heart!”

and that was next to the 2019 Château Margaux or the Mouton Rothschild that cost a rib out of your body..
