When was the last and only time England won a World Cup?

It could be worse…look at us. We tied Wales. Wales has a population less than my (medium sized) state of Wisconsin…and Bale is a better player than our whole country has ever produced. Our men’s team is almost as much of a national embarrassment as Megan Rapinoe.

In all seriousness is the lack of football culture in the USA, football is mainly European and South American for tradition, maybe you can add Africa there. There are more issues but I think that is the main reason.

My oldest two children have played since they were three and play the 6 and the 5 on their respective teams so they hate flopping more than the average US American (and the average US American hates it way more than the average South American or European). I'll put it bluntly in terms an Argentine should understand, my daughter who plays the 5's favorite recent player was Ramos, but Gentile is her all time favorite. I've said it before and I will say it again. They need to issue far more cards for simulation than they do. American football is becoming less and less physical and as a result if they carded for simulation football would be able to compete with it in the US.

As a Brit I agree with this wholeheartedly. Needs to be a lot stricter

Best approach? Review the simulation - we easily have that technology - and ban a player for 5 games. On the salaries they're on their managers would soon call a stop to it!

Diving is certainly an issue in modern football and shoul be punished more harshly, but i think thats not really the main thing about the popularity it has on the States, more they liking their own sports.

However this is clearly nonsense. Brits used to dive long ago, Franny lee for instance, Also germans used to do it a lot Klinsmann for instance. Accusing Italians and spanish for bring it up its not really all fair.
Also some of the best players that have played in the prem are foraigners, Henry, Cantona, Silva, Agüero, Ronaldo, etc.
Therefore some of the best football its really owed to foreing players.
