The Challenge Dome-2 is a year-long scoreboard that combines the results of monthly challenges in 2023.

The Challenge Dome-2 SCOREBOARD

Scoring
Every monthly challenge is weighted according to difficulty of the challenge.
Number of players who achieved the challenge goal is used as the difficulty metric.

Score Weight for a month = 1000 / (Number of players who achieved the challenge goal)

Every month, players who achieved the challenge goal will get points according to their monthly challenge scoreboard positions.

1st - 15 * Score Weight
2nd - 12 * Score Weight
3rd -10 * Score Weight
4th - 7 * Score Weight
5th - 5 * Score Weight
6th to 10th - 3 * Score Weight
All other players who achieved the challenge goal - 1 * Score Weight

Example:
If 30 players achieved the challenge goal,
Score Weight = 1000/30

1st - 15 * (1000/30) = 500
2nd - 12 * (1000/30) = 400
3rd -10 * (1000/30) = 333
.......

on a more difficult challenge If only 10 players achieved the challenge goal,
Score Weight = 1000/10

1st - 15 * (1000/10) = 1500
2nd - 12 * (1000/10) = 1200
3rd -10 * (1000/10) = 1000
.......

Guys, this isn't a tournament that you join. By playing the monthly challenges in 2023 you receive points that go towards your Challenge Dome scores.

Seems a bit backwards to me. I would say it's harder to place well when many players meet the challenge goal, as it is now, the fewer people achieve it, the more points they get (doesn't mean the challenge was harder, maybe people didn't like it as much.).
No points for companion tournaments this time ?

The previous challenge dome used fixed scoring for each month,( 1st - 15 points , 2nd -12 points etc).
The problem we saw with fixed scoring is, the possible winners will be already decided by halfway through the year and then competitiveness diminishes after that. With this dynamic scoring , we hope competitiveness will open till late year.
This might not be perfect, But lets try it and lets see pros & cons.
.
Awarding points to companion tournaments will not go well with this scoring idea.
Hence no additional points for companion tournaments.
But companion tournament winners will get tournament medals.
.
Any ideas and suggestions to improve scoring system is welcome.

People like easy and dislike difficult.

Level of difficulty and popularity aren't perfect proxies for each other, but they are probably reasonable proxies.

I still feel like placing 10/10 shouldn't give more points than placing 10/100 for instance
Then again I dont really do monthly challenges so I dont care either way

It is not like placing 10th of 10 vs 10th of 100.
It is like
placing 10th when 100 tried to pass an exam & only 10 passed the exam
vs
placing 10th when 100 tried to pass an exam & all 100 of them passed exam
.
Does it make Scene ?

Players do not need to register here or anywhere.
If you play official Monthly challenges you will be automatically in to Challange Dome.

Really this game is very entertaining and its challenges are also very unique, I personally like to play it in free time and complete its challenges. Apart from this, I also find watching movies a good activity because it gives us fashion ideas like this ted lasso jacket.

We allowed extra one month to finish February challenge games.
We mntioned that at the begining of February challange.
So both February and , March challanges finished fw days ago on April 30th.
Please allow us few more days to process February and March Scoreboards =D>

The scoreboard link doesn't link to a "scoreboard". No July challenge?

I don't think there will be a July Challenge and I'm unsure if anything will happen with this Challenge Dome event. Chanakam was the only one who knew the details and he quit very suddenly last month. I am just trying to help out by finishing out May and June before I take my own break from CC. I have no idea what Dukasaur will do for the rest of the year. I'm very sorry, but I just have way too much on my plate to take these challenges back on myself right now.

That's disappointing :/
Truth-be-told, wanting to complete a year's worth of 'Monthly Challenges' and being able to play 'poly games' were the deciding factors in me buying a year of premium.

(not blaming you, groovy)
