Another XML question?
Is it possible to code "starting locations" so every time player 1 starts on the same spot. Could be good for making first "assault vs. defense" map, where always players 1-4 would start on one side of the map, and 5-8 on the opposite. That map should be reserved only for dubs, trips and quads... if that can be done it opens a lot of possibilities, like creating "tower defense" map etc.
Re: Another XML question?
This is a good question Kaikayden.
Coding the maps for a more sensible drop will defiantly make the playing experience a LOT better (despite the dice)
Also recoding the numbers will make for better gameplay.
Indeed it opens a whole world of exciting options.
Sadly CC has lost its enthusiasts and now is a dead site in terms of development.
The very very outdated site tells that story.
Fingers crossed for some common sense instead of pissy squabbles about how things can’t be changed in an ever changing world!...

It is true that the decrease in vibrancy no doubt diminishes development. Less about pissy squabbles as the replacement of a turn based game site imploded by mobile devices and social media for creating online connections. Once the site became 100% about the game itself, it is only natural that people gradually departed and there is not a ton of people in the next generation who grew up with this kind of game. Granted we only need 12,000-15,000 actives worldwide to make things much more vibrant, but that has not yet happened.Nucker wrote:This is a good question Kaikayden.

Re: Another XML question?
You can't make it so that player 1 is always in territories 1-4 but you could make them be in either 1-4 or 5-8. However it is not possible to make sure that all of one team is always in 1-4 or 5-8. if the game has more players that starting positions then they are ignoredkimjoni08 wrote:Is it possible to code "starting https://conquerclub.com locations" so every time player 1 starts on the same spot. A lot of conquest maps e.g. New World, Feudal war, age of realms etc. work like this in giving out castles/countries to players the rest being neutral.

Re: Another XML question?
"Starting locations" for players are something that can be coded in the majority of game engines, so the answer is yes!KaiKayden wrote:Is it possible to code "starting locations" so every time player 1 starts on the same spot. Yes, it is possible to code starting locations for players in a way that they always start on the same spot. This concept is commonly used in strategy games and map designs where specific teams or players are designated to particular roles, such as "assault vs. defense" scenarios.

Re: Another XML question?
In fact, if the game has appeal, then it is understandable that it will explode. The concept of each game is suitable for the taste of the players in a certain period of time. This is really understandable when the role-playing game market is probably growing strongly and is loved more.
