Ever lost a game, just because of a dice roll? Or perhaps, because you faced a tough opponent too early into the draw? What if there were an alternate reality, where those twists of fate... didn't happen?
Well, now's the time for you to find out!
Gameplay
The tournament is basically two randomised 16-player brackets, with the winners of each bracket facing off for the final victory.
To be clear - all players will be placed in the 2 separate brackets ("alternate realities"), and both brackets will have different randomisations (using random.org).
If the same player manages to win both brackets, the final game is not necessary, and the player automatically wins the tournament.
The game settings for all games will be as follows:
Tourney privs have been granted, and games have been sent out.
I realised I accidentally labelled all games as Reality A, but I won't be remaking the games just for the sake of the labels. Rest assured that they'll be attributed accurately.
The last game in Round 1 is finally coming to a close. Reality A might take a while as the final Round 2 game is sent out, while all others are completed.
On the other side of the draw, molespe has booked his berth in Round 4 of Reality B, where he awaits his opponent to be decided.
The finals have come to a close, and ultraman emerges as the champion of the tournament.
This is his 2nd win in the tournament series, which comes in the exact same fashion as his previous win - with both finalists having lost the first game of one reality, and reaching the finals in the other. Clearly capable of pulling out a clutch performance!
