If you go back to the store and click on the Redeem tab, you will see a list of things you can buy with your conquer credits. They basically fall into four categories:
- Premium gift certificates for yourself or others.
- Premium membership for short-term periods, if you want to try it out without committing to a full subscription
- Speed game packs, which will allow you to play speed games without being premium.
- Packages of Conquer Stars. These are needed to enter some tournaments, but I actually wouldn't suggest buying any -- you can usually win or find enough stars to enter stuff without needing to buy them. Only if a really good tournament is up and you're just a few stars short of what you need for it, would you ever consider buying them.

You have to be premium in order to play more than four games at a time. The vast majority of tournaments and challenges require you to play more than four games at a time, so if you're not premium you'll cut yourself off from 99% of the experience.
Also, premium allows you four other important perks:
- It allows you to see the forum without ads.
- It allows you to invite people into your games.
- it allows you to play polymorphic games
- It allows you to play speed games. However, you can also play speed games without being premium, by buying a "Speed Game Pack" as noted above.

Yeah, there is quite a bit of bad information floating about in the forums. There are even some people who deliberately give out bad information. Always take anything you hear in the forums with a good-sized grain of salt. After a while you'll figure out who is serious and who is yanking your chain. .....As for Speed games...5 mins...was fine...Once again The High Command catered to a few...Because ,a few want to win a million games a day...It was fine at 5 mins...It made it feel like you were playing in real life`at a table with family and friends...Hell...10,20 mins a move would have been KOOL....But not,1,2,3,4 mins...That chased many away from speed games...GREAT JOB !HIGH COMMAND ...GREAT JOB...JUST AS GREAT AS CHANGING FREESTYLE...OR COKE GOING TO NEW COKE...
