British Isles

Post by WingCmdr Ginkapo »

Can we change the name of the British Isles map to be "Not British Isles" map please? :D

The map hurts on so many levels.

Is this a comment about the map or British society in general?

The CC map, apparently I live in Essex, when I live nowhere near. The hadrians wall has moved up the country by a fair bit too. I also object to the south west corner having 4 territories, they already want independence, lets not pander to them

Find the original mapmaker and talk to him. There's nothing the foundry can do for you without his permissions.

It's not meant to be an atlas - you couldn't fit all the counties in there, any more than the small USA maps have all the states. Can you not accept it as a rough basis for a game rather than a street view map?

Avon, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall all separate, the middle of the country sparse of territories... Its just not representative of the country at all!

The CC map leads towards the suggestion that we are a country of coastal dwelling people, which is far from the truth. This thread was mostly tongue in cheek, I'm not suggesting any change is actually made as its good for game play. However, read the foundry thread as its amusing reading a group of people discussing something they clearly dont really know.

if you want a street view map, make a version like San Francisco.. can you imagine if we changed that map on this complaint? what would happen to doodle earth?!!! ha!! i think the OP should make his own map and show us how it should be done... always nice to have fresh ideas and map makers in the foundry... it could use some fresh blood and more maps.. *cough*...-Jésus noir

p.s.-tried to get in before the move... shucks.

Oh for goodness sake! What is the point of general discussion if not to talk about the game of risk? Really move absolutely every thread elsewhere? Just close that forum then, it clearly is only existing to keep track of the declining numbers.

If this was a serious post I would have just replied to the actual map thread.

That place called the North, you might've heard of it once or twice.

How exactly is the England map not representative of England?
