Concise description:Specifics/Details:- The ability to embed Youku videos in posts, similar to the current function.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:- Will end the apartheid that excludes China-based users from adding their favorite videos to their posts.
- Opens up a vast new opportunity for cultural exchange.
- Greatly increases the range of videos that can be added to forum posts (Western or Asian - Youku has both)

Suggestions generally take a while to wind their way through the system. It's been faster this year than in previous years, but in general I would say a week is not enough.
As step one, why don't you talk to some of the other members from China and get them to post here? It helps if there is a show of support for a suggestion.
As step two, talk to some of the people on the Tech Team and get their opinion of the feasibility. That too often helps.

I was actually ready to approve it when I saw it, but I'm not sure if there exists a phpbb mod for this embed code. Googling suggested it might not be difficult though.

I also approve of this, but I don't think we need another button clogging stuff up. Would you be okay with manual support? (i.e. you have to type in [youku][/youku])

Personally I don't mind having to type it in myself, although other users wouldn't be aware that such a function existed. Could you have a drop down box, from which and [youku] can be selected?
If that's not possible then I don't really care and am happy with manual support only.

Couldn't the system automatically recognize the link, I mean - only one button "embedd video" and it should wrap it with tags and embed it. That way you could add support for Vimeo and a few other video service providers...

stupid question: don't they have youtube in hong kong? I would've thought that the chineese internet regulation would be different from the rest of the country in hk?

Oh, the rules in HK are much different than in the mainland. There's a lot on Youku that's not on YouTube, though.
I wonder if embedding Youku videos would increase ConquerClub's presence in China. Embedding YouTube videos increases SEO, but I don't know how baidu handles SEO. CC isn't really built for Chinese language SEO, so I wonder how many users would actually find their way here. It might help, though.

I think the biggest problem with the Chinese market is that RISK isn't a very popular Chinese game.
If we had a mahjong side game, that would probably bring in more people.
