Botgames in History

Post by AslanTheKing »

Concise description:
  • Remove bot games from the default game finder search

Specifics/Details:
  • Remove bot games from default game finder search
  • Add a tick box (exactly like trench warfare) saying "Bot (yes) (no)"

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • When searching for specific games on a game finder search, such knowing how much a player has played a map, I don't consider these bot games to really have been "played" with strategy.
  • If you search me on Indochina, it says I've played 209 games on it. However...137 of those 209 games were against whambot. If someone searches me on Indochina to see how many games I've played trying to gauge strength on the map, I can't say that there is much strength there, even though the number says otherwise.

AslanTheKing wrote:If its technicaly possible, can u not show the botgames played in My Game History?

Sometimes i look at other players ( clan) gamehistory, and if there are all this bot games played
its a waste of time if u look for some games in history.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

it will save everybody a hell of time, and nobody really cares how much u played vs the bots,
they are here to have fun and kill time,

and its not needed.
hope i could make my point come through

best wishes aslantheking

So maybe in game finder add an option to exclude bot games?

this is also a good idea, what ever is easier for the technicians to make
thx for your input chapcrap

but my idea was, if u go to a players profil, and click " find all games with ..." all this botgames show up,
lets say i wanted to look for a game of mine which was finished 2 days ago,
then i just go through my gamehistory and find it easy,

if i want the hard way i can still go to gamefinder, look for the name of tournament, .......
but if i know that tournament was just 2 days ago finished, i just go to the profil and click " find all games with"

i would prefer if all those bot games dont show up, or on a different page then page nr 1
if its possible

i think this is good suggestion and chap's idea of suppressing it (by default?) in the gamefinder would be good.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

I just want to make sure this doesn't get overlooked:

and how big is the chance technically,
to add a won button and a
lost button in game finder
(if u would like to see only your won or lost games vs any chosen opponent)

Seems like a very good idea, but probably should be a separate suggestion.
