Hecter being a mod?
ok some of you may not like this but i've seen hecter is regularly posting help in questions in the general discussion forum and regularly responds before the mods when saying that a suggestion has been made or that someone would or wouldn't work.
therefore i'm suggesting that maybe he should be a mod.
i don't really know him much but what i've seen is that his spamming days are over and that what he posts is helpful and makes sence.
plus i think we need a mod to handle the suggestions forum specifically and someone to handle questions from new people who post in the general discussion. just something official so they get an answer that is definitely correct and so that you don't just get people telling them to shut up and read the FAQ.
anyway enough rambling. feedback would be great and if you vote no then please say why without simply insulting me or him. also there is no GFY option on purpose

i think he fits them all.
and its funny how people are giving mature answers saying their opinions and those people are for or not sure about the idea but already 2 people have voted no and not explained as was requested.
anyway we'll see how it goes

Alright. No moderator status for hecter then. I figured as much though.
*whispers* AK doesn't really like me.
O, and I could easily keep order in Spamalot diddle. Don't worry bout that.

thanks for the mature explanation AK. glad our current mods are so good
seriously i know u all do a good job but i think more help wouldn't go amiss. and why not?

he wouldn't have to... that wouldn't be his job unless the mods told him to in which case its his decision.... hecter said he was fine with this idea but if he has objections thats entirely his call

Well, it's really just you and wicked. moz rarely comes on, and when he does, he almost never posts. Andy is busy with Foundry stuff, so that leaves you and wicked. You two both have lives, and I imagine you're all always swamped with things to do.

we need more because it would help make the system more efficient, and some mods aren't all that kind to new players. i know it must get frustrating but when you are new you need to ask questions and if hecter is willing to do it then i think it would help a lot

This is a stupid thread joey, nobody EVER gets picked to be a mod just because someone starts a thread and a few people agree with it. Of course I wasn't being serious with my answer because it doesn't matter.
I was told that becoming a mod is a "Don't call us, we'll call you" kind of deal. I'm glad hecter is being helpful, but we still don't take these threads seriously. If you want to kiss Spamalot ass, go join them or something.

Moz handles the Suggestions Forum and To-Do list. Most of what he does is behind the scenes. Doesn't take another mod to answer "already been suggested" 50 times a week.
All mods handle general questions in forums. Just because someone is on the forum 24/7 and can beat us to the questions doesn't automatically make them a good mod candidate.
The reason we refer people to the FAQ is to get them to start looking there first, and also so they know it's there.
We also invite the general community to help answer questions if they want to be helpful. We can't stop people from being rude, although I ask people to be somewhat nice and forgiving to the newbies, as we all had "simple" questions at one time or the other.
Sorry, I'd have to vote "no" as I still see him spamming a LOT.

Not that you guys aren't doing a great job. But, haven't you all been mods since cc was a couple months old? There are more things to do since then, and i think that making someone like hecter a mod, would get things done faster.

Guys, AK and wicked have both said no. They obviously don't want me to be a mod, and it is largely there decision. I imagine we can just let this thread die now.

i know but even mods can be a bit on the blunt side sometimes....

hey no need to have a go at me. i'm just trying to help out. i think he'd make a good candidate so i suggested it.
i know that just because he gets 1 more yes vote than no vote it won't mean he gets made a mod but its a SUGGESTION. i'm not asking for a revolution or anything

Excuse me? That's hardly the case at all.
Ya! wicked is only a bitch to more experienced people!
